People say that the 'normal' amount of weight you should gain while pregnant is 25 to 30 pounds. I know I gained 32 pounds. Did you gain more or less than the supposedly normal amount?

Both my boys made me very very fat when I was preg with them LOL....My oldest was carried to term and thanks to him I gained about 50lbs ;-) my daughter who was also carried to term was kinder to me LOL I only gained 20 with her and my youngest boy who was born at 24 weeks gestation made me gain 50lbs so if I'd carried him to term I would have gained more :-0

i'm fortunate that I gained only 20 lbs. The problem is, I can't seem to get rid of these extra pounds even years after giving birth. Makes me feel terrible.

When I was pregnant with my first, I put on about 20 kilograms of weight which way exceeds the normal amount of weight. However, I was underweight to start off with so I actually look so much healthier when I was pregnant. Losing the extra weight was difficult. It took me more than 6 months. So when I was pregnant with my second, I made sure I did not put on that much, around 15 kilograms. This time round, it was also easier to lose the extra weight put on.

Well with my oldest I gained I think 50lbs, and then with my son I only gained 20 lbs (had lots of sickness so couldn't eat for like the first 6 months really), then with my youngest I gained 27lbs.

I was lucky that I didn't have morning sickness for more than about 3 months. And the last month I had no problems eating and gained about 10 lbs! lol

I gained 45 pounds and let me tell you it was great! I ate and ate and had a healthy baby and it was all worth it!:) Although loosing the weight was easy because I fed my baby the natural way, and that took the extra weight gain right off.;)

I actually lost weight because I was so sick all the time. In my 3rd trimester I gained some of it back but weighed less than before I got pregnant. It was weird..and then after I had my baby, I lost even more weight. By the time he was 2 years old though..I had gained it all back and then some. Oh drats!!

Well, if I remember correctly (it was quite awhile ago), with my first pregnancy I gained about 35 pounds, with my second 40 pounds. My first baby weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz. and I regained my figure very quickly. My second baby was 8 lbs. 6 oz. but I developed fibromyalgia after she was born so as much as I may have lost some weight after she was born, because of my illness I did end up back at the weight I was at just before I gave birth to my daughter. Thankfully I have been working hard and have lost 30 pounds, only 10 more to go!

I lost 80 lbs with my pregnancy. But, I was in the hospital about every other week for severe hyperemesis (morning sickness) Starting the day after I had her, I started being able to eat again and put 40 lbs back on in 2 months. I was starving!

Let's see I was 105 when I found out I was pregnant, and by the time I gave birth I was 185... so 80 pounds. But it was mostly because I was so swollen because I had preeclampsia. I literally peed out 60 pounds in two weeks. Very odd experience.

well with my oldest I gained around 60 lbs. then with my next two I gained around 35 both times. So yeah I was way over the norm with my oldest. But I was lucky enough to have it go away within a couple of months after giving birth to my daughter.
