Last Thursday night, hubby surprised me with tickets to see Mark Lowry and Lordsong in person~! What a great night. Their "God is crazy about You" tour is awesome.
His comedy is still the funniest thing around. He has new material---that being the motorcycle wreck he had last March, and the recovery from it. I laughed until my sides hurt.
He ended the night with an older song called "Isn't it Amazing" which in my opinion is his second best song ever...the first being "Mary did you Know". He has such an amazing voice.
I'd never even heard of Lordsong before...but I now have a new group to add to my favorites. Check out their website and take a listen. Awesome sister harmonies.
Has anyone else seen him in concert?

Kristen took her camera with her and was going to get pictures. She ended up only having one bar on her battery. Of course if she'd known we were going, she could have charged it up. She was a little irritated at her Dad. lol

I am really upset that you did not invite me to go with you guys. LOL I am glad that you enjoyed the show I would love to go. Seems we never get anything good around here. We are just too far back in the sticks

We had to drive an hour to see him. We get some things here in Hot Springs. Magic Springs, our local amusement park has a fairly decent summer concert schedule. Including Point of Grace on June 16th. I went to college with three of them, and Teri, who was the original 4th.
Before our house burned, I had pictures of Shelly and my girls when they were little bitty and she was baby sitting for us.

We bought a family pack of tickets for $40, which is $5 a ticket off the early bird price. It was like $17 at the door...definately worth the price, and so much cheaper than most concerts.

I saw him many years ago. The favorite song of mine that Mark Lowry sings is "This too Shall Pass." I mean, the truth of it and the power is just amazing. No one would think by looking at him that he can sing, but sure can! I saw him with the Gaither Vocal Band on TV, and my parents have a couple of his videos. He is truly funny and I'd watch him anytime. I didn't hear about his motorcycle accident, I'm just shocked he was on one. Glad to hear he is healed.

My son has used him as a role model for years. James had a teacher in the first grade tell him that he would never amount to anything because he'd never learn to read (He is dyslexic.) His dad and I continuously told him Yes, you will be something great one day.
The first time he heard Mark say that a teacher had said that very same thing to him...James went "Wow! Maybe I can do it after all." His whole outlook changed after that.

I too love that song. I think my favorite now is "Isn't it Amazing"...but he also has one called "Make it Real" that really spoke to my heart the first time I heard it.

Oh it was! We went with my daughter's fiance and his family. We made a night of it, went to eat afterwards and just had a great time.

Wow! it's great to hear that you actually went to see the concert. I love Mark Lowry and all the Gaither Artists. I do have a DVD of this concert entitled "Mark Lowry goes to Hollywood". You are blessed to be able to attend his concert. I really am blessed to hear this inspiring songs. I love Isn't it Amazing. Since I'm in the Philippines and am not able to see live concerts, I do collect a lot of Gaither Videos. And Mark Lowry when he used to sing as baritone for the Gaither Vocal Band. I just love gospel music!

Me too. Where are you in the Philippines? My son leaves this morning to go there on a mission trip. He is coming with his basketball team to do sports outreach missions. They will be traveling all over the country for the next 14 days and playing basketball and spreading the gospel.

well, he can sing...but he won't. lol
Here is their website www.youthframeworks.com
It will show you some of the places they have already been. The last two pictures in the photo gallery #'s 37-38 are both pictures of James with some of the kids. You can read a little more about what they are doing near you. If you get a chance to see them, I hope you will go and hear them preach. Tell James you are a friend of his mom's on the internet!

No I have never seen any of them in concert but it sounds like something not to miss! I will make sure I look for them in the Tulsa area. They just might be around here sometime. Thanks for sharing this great information. It is great when we can find a wonderful Christian alternative for entertainment. The typical holly wood type fare just doesn't do it for me and my hubby anymore.

me either. Even some of the Christian Concerts have gotten so commercialized and electronic, that I think they've lost the true meaning of why they are up there singing.
