Are You A Giver Or A Receiver ?

In any relationship, the giving and the taking is a given. In my own, I believe I am the giver. I think I am some sort of a giver of love and my partner is more of a receiver. In your own relationship with your partner, girlfriend or boyfriend, who do you think is the giver and the receiver?

I consider myself to be a very giving person, because I enjoy it so much. I know how I feel when I get peoples time, hugs, gifts, compliments, and things like that. So I get a real joy from helping others to feel that same happiness. There is a universal gladness that people feel when you do something special for them. When you give a child a new toy, nothing can match the excitement on their little faces. When you give a loved one a gift and their eyes light up and they smile and say thank you and give you a hug, it makes you feel like a hero. It is a really good feeling.

Although I am not currently in a relationship, I have always been the giver. I have always felt that it is better to give than to recieve, although a healthy balance is much better than a one sided relationship.

In a relationship, I believe that both should experience giving and receiving. For the relationship to work out, one shouldn't be the only one receiving or the other way around. Because there will come a point when you will get tired of giving, if that's your only "role" in your relationship. Don't you think it is much better when you feel pampered too.

If you ask me, I will appreciate being pampered but given the chance, I will appreciate it even more if I can do the pampering rather than being the one pampered.

At times I feel like I'm the giver all the time. But, in reality it probably equals out. My husband probably feels like he is the giver, since he is the one who works and provides our income.

I must say that it evens out. This matter of equating out the giving and the taking I really am conscious about. My wife gives her love for me every morning by preparing my coffee. You know what I did to even up ? Every night I shower her my love by giving her milk.

My husband and I are both givers. We are always doing little things for eachother. Well I guess you could say we are both givers and receivers since we are always doing for eachother.

I'm either a giver and a receiver. I like to balance everything. When I give love in return I must receive love too. My partner is more on a receiver. :)

They say love begets love. Thus being a giver of love, you will be loved in return
