we have an officer in our company, and she's really unbelievable. she won't allow us to use our leave credits because she's always paranoid that we're just fooling her..when i filed my resignation, she gave me to unreasonable memos.what does she want? what's her problem? she has 7 staff under her, and i'm one of them, and all of us are complaining, but we just don't know how to make her realize she is treating us unfairly! when you want to join an event, she won't let you, but if you don't feel like joining she would force you to attend! she wants you to provide medical certificate even if your just a day absent because you're not feeling well. the globe stops when she speaks, she's very slow in delivering her words and very repetitive! to tap it all, she ALWAYS makes things COMPLICATED for us...what's her problem????

Did you try tellling her superior maybe she'll change if someone from your team would talk to her and tell her she's going over board...

this is a good suggestion worth considering. the higher ups maybe able to cause the necessary change in her attitude. a good working relationship with the boss, promotes a better working environment at the office. top management is aware of this principle about having and keeping good working environment and relationsips among their employees.

Perhaps she has been in a managerial position for a while now and she has just about seen it all. Many managers are sick and tired of employees that take advantage of sick leave days, calling in sick when they are not, goofing off on company time, etc.
What you all can do is slip her a note. Type it out and lists all the things that you all are having problems with. It's either make her aware of the problem or continue to suffer in silence, if it were me I would opt for sending a note.

She is somebody that does not know how to handle authority. She is to into herself to see that her employees around her are not happy which is not going to get what she needs done correctly or have any loyalty from her employees. I would report her to a higher up if you are all complaining maybe that will let her know that what she is doing is not ok

i think your supervisor doesnt deserve to be in that position. as a supervisor, she should be the one who serves as the role model and should find ways to encourage and support her people to be more productive and fruitful. as for the leave, she may have experienced previous employees who have used their leaves without a valid reason but leave credits are the benefits of an employeed and she can't deprive you of that.
since all of you feel the same way about her, you should find a way to sit down in a meeting and communicate to her your side and concerns. If she didnt do anything about it, you can go straight to the higher management or someone higher who can deal with these matters.

i don't know if she is one who listens to reason. try doing so. we are always allowed to use those leave credits if we feel bad or lazy for the day. try having some private talk with her. if i were you, i will try to invite her to the house for dinner or something else. any occasion. break the ice which has been enveloping her. if you manage to break that ice, you will see a big difference pouring in. but, there are instances when some employees will prefer and odd boss like her. there are chances that you will miss her being like that.

Maybe she's mentally ill, or somethings wrong with her. I'm not sure, but it sounds like you've got a really annoying problem on your hands. Good luck with solving it.

maybe your boss have some insecurities that's why she treated her staff just like that. some people even they already have a higher position in the office thinks that her staff are talking behind her back and these kind of people shows only that they are not yet ready to hold bigger responsibility and dont know how to handle their staff. its better to quit your job than to argue with her everytime.

Maybe she is insecure about her position and her place within the company therefore, by being a bully about things she can avoid any personal contact with ya'll....
Is she new to this position?
I am sorry that you are having to deal with this but maybe if you take a look at why she is doing these things you will be able to figure out how to make things better for everyone....
Could you have a one-on-one talk with her?
Being a supervisor is extremely difficult for some people...they feel like they have the world on their shoulders.....while others seem to actually get a thrill from being difficult with others....
I wish you the best of luck in dealing with this difficult situation....

Is there no officer on top of her whom you could thresh out your problems to? It seems that this officer has a personality problem and needs to be told so. For making your lives miserable at work, what she's doing reflects who she really is: paranoid and insecure. There should be a venue--a dialogue in which you can ventillate your complaints against her as she is too unreasonable, too deliberate, too slow, and too repetitive. All of you should unite to speak out...hope that the higher ups can do something about the situation.
