Sharing Secrets With Strangers

I know a lot of people who can keep their thoughts and feelings about things from the people they know, then when someone they don't really know asks them how they are, they just explode. I've done that before. I actually find it easier to share things with some people that I've just met rather then my best friends. Have you done this? Do you know people who have done this? Do you think it's stupid? Please, tell me your thoughts.

I think it is very true hence why we are all on mylot. Its hard telling me poeple you know for you don't want to be judged and also you can discuss it without haveing to worry that now somebody knows all your secrets. Sometimes a strangers opinion helps more because it is unbiased.

Well, obviously I wouldn't tell them something so deep and personal that a stranger could blackmail me, but I mean, have you ever just ranted your thoughts to someone you normally wouldn't say?

If you think about it, we are sharing secrets with one another here on mylot and most of us are strangers. So I'll say yes I have, and I have friends who have done the same. However not all people can be trusted to share secrets with. I guess it just depends on how comfortable you are sharing part of yourself with others.

I have done that. I think sometimes we just don't want our family and friends to know things and sometimes we don't want to worry them. But, we still have this need to tell somebody. I'm finding it is so easy to talk about my problems with the people here on mylot. I can get lots of advice and opinions from many different people.
