Never Give Up

The reason it does not work is because you have not thought about how you are going to do it before starting... nor have you done any research or find a book which tell you how to do it. Unless you are a practical person... who does fix things often... you have no chance of doing something without experience, common sense and know how. Everything has to be learned in life. You cannot suddenly decide today to fix your car if you never did hold a spanner in your hands your whole life. Most things are easy if you know how. That is why professional always make it look easy. The first time is the learning curve. The second time is practice. The third time... you are getting good at it. The frustrating part is that by the time you are good at it... you might never need to do it again. So... sometimes... for people who can afford it... it is more practical to pay someone to do it for you.

I agree with you. Many people give up if things don´t work out how they expected because they haven´t learned to overcome frustration. If we teach our children that you can´t always have the results you want at the first attempt, they will gradually learn not to feel discouraged and keep on trying. It takes a lot of determination to keep going if you´ve failed after various attempts. But when you finally succeed you feel that it was well worth the effort. Nothing is easy in this life...

I do so agree with you. The loser is the one who really gives up. A lot of men who went down in our history and made their marks were men who didn't give up despite the hindrances that they encounter.

Yeah, I agree with you. I always believed that successful people or people from the top are the ones who went through a lot of struggles and difficulties in life before they become successful. Success, can never be obtain in a blink of an eye. It takes a lot of hardwork, intelligent mind, patience and perseverance to obtain what you think is success for you. I've impressed on my mind what my former mentor from college had told me once. He said, "Failure would propel you into greater heights in life".

That's right. It's just the right attitude and right mindset that counts the most. It's the persistence and how one perceive things to be. or how one wants a thing to become. We all have the power of choice. It's either we choose to fight for it or just give up like that.

I totally agree with that and I think that how life is. Sometimes you win and other times you don't.

I certainly agree with that one my friend. Im a firm believer in always trying. Ive done alot of things that didnt work out the way I would like them to have. But I never gave up I always gave it my best.

"Don't give up on a sinking ship" is another way I've heard this. This is what I went through here just recently. I was disgusted with mylot and the deletions and the discussion contents as of late. I never gave up the ship though. I just repaired the hole in my ship here on mylot and now I'm floating on the sea of responses once again. Hahaha!! I almost gave up hope on mylot and left. But I decided to try a new and fresh approach and it seems to be working. So I'm happy I didn't give up here. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I agree with you 100%.One should try till he is successfull.No thing is easy and rarely things happen good at first try.Also noone get anything easily.Every one has to either work hard or loose something to get other thing.So there is no option than hard work and one must be positive minded to achieve big goals.

My sentiments exactly. The most successful people have had the most failures. That is becasue they never gave up. It is really simple, if there is something you want, you will never get it if you give up going after it.

Most people associate this "never give up" as a way to achieve their goals and dreams or simply be described as successful. But there is also a limitation to trying to reach out the task you like to accomplish. If by trying 10 times and yet, all it brought was disasters, more pains and disappointments, then its time to call it quit. By quitting, you'll see more opportunities opening up for you.

It is true that one should never give up until one's full potential is tested. However, in real life, we are often denied of such a privilege, at least for me. Time does not wait for us. We are expected to be able to deliver in the shortest time possible as any delay causes time and money.

Never giving up refers to a lot more than just on area of life. You should never give up your hope or faith and you should never give up your dreams in life. You should never give up trying to accomplish what you want in life and you should never give up even when all seems hopeless. This is more of a doctrine for living.

Anything worthwhile is worth taking your time and trying to accomplish. Work and perserverance is often leading to positive things. True that sometimes it does not work the first time however you learn things and it makes you better in the long run. Life is a learning event and we can take full advantage of it and reap the benefits.

Great inspirational speech- So True- Reminds me of a song I sing to my daughter- when she is struggling with something- If at first you don't succeed--- try again If it's courage that you need-- try again If your plan won't do- throw it out start anew She hates the song- but it gets her to try again!

Oh. How I know this is so very true. Everything that I do in my life takes alot of effort and lot of tries before succeeding at things. I have always had to struggle for everything in my life. I have been turned down on things and have failed many times but I never give up on trying. I never give up on things that i want out of life and the things that matter to me the most or my family. I will give it everything I got to get to where I want to go in life.

this is so true in my case. I always have to experience failure for the first up to third time before really knowing exactly how to do it. as if these failures are meant to happen for me before I move forward with original plans, it's annoying, but it teaches me at the end

yes, never give up. work hard and never give up is the best way to succeed. but the base is you choose the good way and right way. once you choose a good way through the success, you just work hard and never say give up, then you can achieve your goal.
