Help rescued dogs in need

I am a member of an MSN group and one of the members posted a link where you can click on a purple buttion and help them feed rescued dogs. I know you guys love your pets and hopefully we can show some love for these rescued dogs.
All you have to do to help is click on the web link below and then click on the purple button that says "Fund Food for Animals" It is as easy as that.
There are also newsletters you can sign up for if you arintrested.

Did any one here ever rescue a dog?
Was it an enjoyable experience?

I have adopted several dogs from the street. It's a wonderful experience, specially when they grow up and you see how beautiful and healthy the dog has become since you adopted it. I never have adopted from a shelter because we don't have this kind of facilities in my country. I wish I could do it in a regular basis, sadly I don't have the money to support more dogs than I have... but, yes, I would do it again and again if I had the chance.

thanks for the link. I have done this before and I try to do it whenever I can. I actually got my dog from a humane society, she was surrendered by her previous owner. I found her on petfinder and actually drove to a humane society located about 2 hours away. Adopting my dog was a great experience. We had loads of fun driving out there to get her and she has made life at home so much more fun and exciting. I will only adopt dogs from humane societies or shelters. I couldn't imagine going to a breeder or pet store when there are plenty of unwanted adult animals at the shelters.

That is awesom. I agree Idont see a point in going to a pet store or a breeder either. I currently dont have a dog but I do want to get one in the near future. What Iam going to do is surf the news papers and if I dont see one there Iam going to surf the net and see what I can find in the local shelters.

If that is the only thing that I have to do, then I don't see why not at all. I will do it right away.
