I had to take my daughter to the vets to put her pup down he had parvo it is so sad my hearts hurt but I would rather have him to pass with help instead of us to find him in the back yard.
I knew it was the right thing to do and yes I admit I had to talk my daughter into it but it makes me feel no better. God Bless.

Oh justme2007, I am so very sorry. I had to put my dog to sleep after 15 years and it was one of the hardest things I have ever went through. I feel for your daughter and you. I know it must have been so very hard. I just kept telling myself it was best for the dog. My dog went blind and deliourious. She would want in circles. She was miserable.
I am sure my words will not help you either, but I will be praying for you and your family. You are definately in my thoughts. Hang in there! If you need to talk I am here.

It is so sad when you have to have a pet put to sleep, it just breaks your heart. I have had to do it a few times, it is so hard to get over the feeling that you are killing them. In fact you are helping them by ending their suffering. Parvo is such a sad disease, it is also very easy to pass to other animals. You can even carry the germs on your clothing and it carries in the air.

Please tell your daughter that I am so sorry for her loss. And for you too. I know it must have been hard to be the one convincing her to do it. But it was the right choice. I have never had to make that decision and I hope I never do. I have lost many animals so I know how hard it is. many people find comfort in a website that I share with people who have lost a pet. There is a special poem on there called Rainbow Bridge. I hope it helps.

I am so sorry for your loss.I used to work at a pet store for 5 years.I am ashamed of it now.It seems that when a puppy has parvo it passes very quicky to other puppies that are in the other kennels.Just know that there was nothing there was nothing to help your puppy once the disease gets too far.My condolences too yu family and your puppy.

Awww, how sad. I once had a beagle puppy and she contracted parvo at about 4 to 5 weeks old. She lived about a week at the vet's but she made it through and we did spent a great deal of money on her but we never regretted it. She lived to be about 14 or 15 years old before we had to have her put down because of she had a tumor and nothing helped her. I can def. understand how you and your daughter feel. You made a decision based on how you didn't want to poor thing to suffer and both of you will get over the pain with time.

I am sorry to hear that your daughter lose her god the other day. I don't know if it will help, but i hope that you explained the medical reasons to her and that this prevented the dog from suffering. Do you plan on getting her another dog? It might help ease her pain.
