I just signed up for it. I get to give things a way and post my crafts on there for sale. Which is mainly the reason I done it LOL I have too many and my husband is getting tired of seeing them. So I got an email about this site and signed up. It does take about 4 weeks to get your order but its free. I ordered some things my self and I got them today so they do send them. All I had to pay was shipping. And when I seen that I got the order I logged in and applied for my own store. Its cool I can sale my stuff and get the supplies free. Just check it out.

One of the best pieces of scrapbooking advice I got was to just go to your local used book store or thrift store and pick up an old hard cover book. It doesn't matter what it's about because you are going to simply use it's pages to create your own pages. It definatly saves you a bit of money because you aren't buying all the pages to put into your book. Once in awhile I'll splurge and get a set of the fancy papers to use as backgrounds and whatnot but normally I just pick up a couple packs of cheap coloured construction paper and my children and I make our own fancy pages to work with.

The thing is, you have to be careful about the acid lignin in the paper, it can and does wreck your photos over time. Remember the old photo albums with the sticky pages? Well, my photos faded from them. I am not sure about the construction paper, if it is safe or not.

why don't you make your own instead,in the long run it would save you .i can't give you the how to's but you can surf the web for it.how to recycle paper , you add some scent.how to make paste, you could do this with starch and water.and as for your binder use a hemp or any thing that would tie the ends, just punch some holes and slide your string or rope in.sorry, can't think of anything but how to save.

Hi Jolene- Have you ever heard of a website called freelancebyu.com- It's a great site- No cost- They have a forum and you can ask questions- they put up deals found online and in stores- list tons of freebies- and samples. I swear by this site- You can go to the website and ask to be included in newsletters and join the forum- It's run by Anjie- and then a bunch of us all post- It's great- You might be able to find something here for scrapbooking deals- I don't scrapbook- But I do alot of other crafts- My favorite store is A.C. Moore- Is there one near you?? It's the cheapest place I have found for all crafts I do-

Recently I have seen a bunch of scrapbooking supplies at Big Lots. Check at your local one if you have one near you, you may hit the jackpot. I know mine had tons actually! Also, have you ever tried ebay? I have seen scrapbooking supplies on there before.

I like scrapbooking but i only get the basic supplies which is necessary such as adhesive, corner trimmer, scisors and scrapbook paper cutter. The rest i like to create my own pattern by using thr recycle stuff whatever i have it in my house, such as an hard cover old book for my scrapbook album, dried leaf ,left over house paint, aluminium foil and more as a decorative material. It turns up very unique and beautiful. So lets use your own creativity which can save you bunch of money..

I would suggest regular stores as opposed to the expensive craft stores. Walmart, Dollar Tree, etc carry nice supplies. Also check a website called craigslist.com, they have a section for crafts and you can find some good deals there. I also get some of my supplies off of Ebay. I have also had luck with swapping stuff I found I haven't needed with other scrappers in my area for things they have that I can use. Good luck!

well, there are online competitions for RAKS. I'm not sure what that stands for, but I've come across blogs where you can send in your layout for a contest and the winner stands to win a whole lot of nice scrapping supplies. the blogs I've seen are in Australia, though so I'm not sure whether they will ship internationally if you win. But I'm sure there are some in your country. Just surf around for 'scrapper blogs' and see what they have to offer.

I don't do scrap booking. But I have seen them at the Dollar Tree. So if you have a Dollar Tree near by that would be the place to check.

You can check out Dollar General. They have some scrapbooking supplies. I do alot of rubber stamping so I make alot of my own patterned paper, by random stamping on it.
