Helium.com is sort of like mylot, but it's focused on competition. Basically, you write an article or news story and people vote on it. It's possible to earn some good money with Helium, but it takes more writing skills.

I like associatedcontent.com I started out just publishing a few class papers and I got $4 a piece for those. If you're already writing a lot for college you can make money on what you're already doing. They cash out through paypal.
