I have been accused enough of being full of hatred for the muslim people. I am not full of hate, but since it seems to be hard for me to convey how I feel, I found this video to show exactly how I feel.
Watch this and maybe you will understand. No worries, you don't need speakers, unless you want to hear the music in the background.
I urge all of you to watch this. This is how many americans, and residents, that love this country feel.
I urge muslims, especially the ones living in this country, to watch it, so that you know once and for all how we feel.

As a muslim myself we were thought not to hate, not to kill and not to be extremist. I'm sure there are other religions/cults that got carried away performing extreme stuff to get attention. Don't confuse the legit ones to the black sheep. I beg of you. Islam is a very peaceful, pure religion. Just that a handful of them started their wrong doing using religion as an excuse (hoping they won't sin).

There are but you can't rely on the media to show you this. But the terrorists don't represent ALL muslism, so why should one Muslim have to justify his religion
because the terrorists use the religion in their war. The average Muslim wants nothing to do with the terrorists. It would be like a Christian organisation bombing people in the name of Christ, and me and other Christians having to condemn every action, and justify my religion to everyone. I'm not going to bother, I would rather give no acknowledgement at all to the sick people.
Here is a long list of important Muslims condemning terrorism: http://www.muhajabah.com/otherscondemn.php

A thought provoking post. I am a neutral to both of you. I condemn terrorism, may it be religion based or country sponsored. We all should fight against it. But, I have just 1 question. The entire world is united in agreeing that terrorism is bad and we should stop it. But, how many agree that what US is doing in Iraq is equally bad. You do not go to someone's home and destroy them. What happened in Afghanistan makes sense, because, Taliban did support the terrorists. But, what was the mistake of the Iraqis? Saddam did kill only a few, which is cruel and wrong, but, what is going on now, is it any better? A country which was flourishing is now in ruins. What is an average american doing about it?

The americans that are against the war speak out against it openly and the ones that are for it also speak about it openly. Muslims don't. They don't speak out against the radicals and the radicals don't admit very often they are radicals.
So the difference is, americans do speak up and many of them try to change things and help get our troops home.

The Americans against the war are speaking out. What about that mother camping out by Bush's home in Texas?
And as for 'you don't go to someone's home and destroy them'...I suppose we INVITED those people to crash planes and kill all those people? We didn't start all this crap!

Another hate filled post by you Riptide.
The video you have mentioned is very clrearly asking Muslims to make a choice between America and Islam. Do you not already know the answer to that. But why would somebody have to make a choice between their religion and the country they live in as citizens or as expatriates. The only reason I can figure out is, America wants to put itself above everything.
And some parts of the video are really insulting and annoying. If that is exactly how you feel, I feel sorry for you.

I do not know what has made you guys think I am against America. NOOOO, not at all. I am certainly not against Americans, on the contrary I believe Americans are human beings like us. Having feelings and emotions. Human beings who love, respect, fear and hate exactly the way we (Muslims) do. Please for God's sake!! stop misunderstanding me. I am not against any of you Americans. I am against the policies of the American government which has led the average Americans into believing that Muslims are against their country. I want you guys to start thinking for yourselves instead. Please look into your past. At the contributions Muslims did to your country and to the whole world in general.

I am not here to justify what wrong some Muslims might have done in your country. But you should stop generalizing it and start looking at it as their own acts. Pleas stop thinking Islam is against your country. It sould be SOME people but not the whole religion. Please try to remember before Islam it was the Socialism and The Soviet union that the American government were afraid of. And before that it was Hitler and Naziism. Please think for yourself. Why is that everybody is against America. Could it not be the other way round, America has been against them all?

Naseem, nobody asks you to choose between islam and america. You can be a muslim and a proud american, bit judging by your posts, you don't seem to think that is possible.
So if one can't be a muslim and american, then they shouldn't be here. If you can't adapt to a countries culture without losing your own, you have no place there.

You have found a gem there with that video. I am the same as some I dont understand why they are still living here if they dont like americans. We let them in to our country for what to teach them how to fly planes so that they can run us over with them. I wonder how they would feel if I stood outside their homes with bombs straped around me, do you think they would come running out begging me not to blow them up like they do us.I really hope that the world has seen this video. great find.

I do wish they would show stuff like this on national tv.
If there were a bunch of terorists in one of them muslim countries blowing stuff up in the name of Jesus, do you think they would let any christian live?
I think this country has been more then tolerant and it's time to step up to the plate and be watchful and vigilant. Screw political correctness, it has gotten us nowhere.

Well I cant account for all of them but I can tell you about 4,000-12,000 of them are and how they feel http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/attack/43546_chaplains20.shtml
Now if you still have doubts than you are always welcome to join them first hand and find out for yourself. While the video jumped on Muslims accross the world it left out that Jews that were celebrating 9/11 also.

Those are the ones that stand up for what's right, but they are few and far in between. 12,000 out about 1.5 billion non radical muslims is a drop in the bucket, but it's a start and if the rest of them would stand up to the radicals, the radicals wouldn't have a chance in hell.

You keep saying why dont they stand up look at it from these guys point of view I was in the area when Bush had his meeting with community leaders in Dearborn Michigan and I recall them shouting Saddam has to go and things like that. Now most of the very same ones that were there during the meeting are under surveillance like wire taps(which was illegal). I can see exactly why they feel this way.
Its easy to look at one side of the coin but its another thing to look at both sides of where people are coming from.
You hear the far right shouting things like boot them out and you look at our past history and what was done to japanese americans during WW2 and than say well how come they are arent saying more?
More importantly when you are arrested for something you make front page of every news paper in america as being a terrorist but when you are let go they post a retraction on the last page in small letters.

We don't get it because we don't agree with you? You see, this is the very attitude that turns me off about muslims. Instead of debating and trying to get to the bottom of things, you either deflect or try to cram your opinion down other peoples throats, Everybody is wrong and you and the koran are right.
As long as these attitudes persist, there won;t ever be any real debating, compromise or understanding.

fidainc:
Anybody blinded by prejudice and hate won't get anything be it muslim, jew or christian.
Riptide:
I don't have time to respond to all of your discussions but one thing is sure that you have particular hate against Islam, very typical of some christians (not all, rather not majority). It's not surprising, as some christians tend to be very judgmental, hateful and try to shove down their feelings and beliefs down other people's throats. Not all chrisitans are like that, some of my christian friends are great people. that's why I don't generalize it for whole christianity but some christians do have a habit of generalizing some people's acts to whole religion. that's a difference.

Yes...I feel the same way. I wish that video was broadcast all across the us at the same time on every tv station. Then maybe these so called
"peaceful" people will stand up and respond, to all of us who feel the same way.

Interesting discussion. A lot of "us and them" going on here. The reality is that some of them are us and some of us are them - Muslims, that is, not terrorists. Although we have our own homegrown terrorists as well. [The folks in Oklahoma City could tell us about that.]
I imagine it would make life easier if there was something like mood rings that people wore that told you if they were enemies or not. Imagine, we could check out someone's hands or earring or something and whatever color it was indicated which category of "them" they were. Of course, that could get complicated if, say, someone was Muslim, black, AND gay. That probably wouldn't matter to some folks who just fear anyone who is different from themselves.
But then, life might get dull if you ALWAYS know who not to trust.

Rip, where do you find this stuff! I loved and totally agree with that video!
So far, the only one that has commented hasn't taken a stand either. Yes, I worry about YOU!
How are we supposed to know if they don't say? I think if they don't say or act like they are patriots, ship them out! If they are in the US and don't love it, GO HOME! If we are so rotten, why do the terrorists keep coming to American colleges?! We must have something they want, yet we are Evil. Sound hypocritical to anyone else?
I would say to print up bumper stickers again...'America. Love It Or Leave It' but then we would be targets for all the Muslim terrorists that are lurking in the shadows here.
For all the good Muslims ...speak up!
