My dad will be going next Tuesday in to have foot removed they are going 8 inches below the left knee and removing it. they say it will take an hour and if he is o.k with balance and all he will be home the next day! I could nt believe that! I figured he would be in at least a week! With it being his left well if you think about it you use that leg for balancing more than the right. He has already got the power chair. Well I wanted to update you all on it and thank you all for your prayers! God has a reason for it all! When I was younger I was in a car wreck and lost my left eye and well he was not there fro me and well like I said God has a reason for it!

I think they send people home too quick after such a major surgery. My thoughts and prayers are with him. Sending quick healing vibes with no problems his way.

sorry to hear about your car accident before and it saddened me upon hearing the news about your dad. i haven't read your previous discussion about his condition. and i am sorry for that. i will try and go back and read those, too.
i hope your dad will be better soon. i know he will be since he has you, the family and some great friends beside him. just support your dad and take care of him. tender loving care is always necessary.
take care and send good wishes to your dad.

I am glad you see it this way. It's better to think positive then negitive. I will still pray for your dad. I have went blind a few times because I have multiple sclrosis and if it goes to my eyes I get what is called optic nertius but it comes back after awhile. God bless you and your dad.

it is really sad when people meet accidents and things like this happens. i know that there is nothing much that i can say to cheer you up. but nonetheless, you already have the answer in your hands, it is God's will. whatever maybe the reason for it, we may never know. i am happy that your father is now scheduled for the final step and it is seen to be the last step for his recovery. i hope that everything will turn out fine.

I am sorry to hear about your dad's situation. You didn't mention the reason for this need for amputation. Was it due to gangrene or some accident?
It can be traumatic for someone to lose a part of his leg. Right now, what he needs is for his loved ones to rally around him, give him comfort and assure him that he will be taken good care of after the operation. Depression may set in especially if he used to be able-bodied and can walk around by himself. You need to be there for him to help him and keep his spirits up. After all, he is your dad and he brought you up and took care of you in your growing up years.
Sometimes we cannot comprehend God, and question why He allows certain things to happen. But it is important to keep your trust in God because He has a reason for all that happens. I will commit your dad and yourself to prayer. That's the least I can do for you. Let us know how things progress in the weeks ahead. God bless.
