If you have a lake nearby, you might enjoy walking or bicycle riding by it or around it, depending on how big it is (take a picnic lunch to enjoy during your journey). You get to see a lot of nature and people that way. Or if you have a digital camera (you can get good ones quite inexpensively) you might enjoy taking pictures of nature such as close ups of wild flowers, insects, birds, etc. We do a lot of golfing, and one of the things I notice when I'm relaxed on a golf course is all of the sounds of nature -- the air is literally filled with birds singing, and frogs croaking. I love those sounds. The reflections on the water on a calm evening are very relaxing and would make good pictures as well. There are many things such as this that cost nothing except a little imagination.

Yes, It is very possible. You can go to the park. ..free. Look in the paper and see what free activities are going on in your area. Sometimes you will see ones at a near by community. Go to a local beach or lake...free. Have friends over and have a pot luck where everyone brings something. You just supply the place where you meet...Parks work well and are free as well.

it all depends on someone's definition of fun and what the person's interests are. some need to go to the mall and shop til they drop, like summer fun means summer sales. some need a family vacation or a grand travel. but for me, i can just go for a walk in the park, a fun drive, or just be home to relax and enjoy a hobby. those don't really require spending money. yeah, i'm light and easy. life has to be :)

Yeah, you can. You can use the pool by your house instead of paying alots of money to go to a expensive beach. You can go the park, instead of a resort or something like that.

Personally, I think that summer is the easiest time to not spend any money. Summer is great for recreational activities like going to the beach, talking walks or hikes at the park and taking a bike ride.
