Are you really happy when your boyfriend or husband send gifts of any type to you. Gifts can be Flowers, Jewellery, etc. If you are happy, why are you happy to receive these gifts else why not?

I feel happy whenever my husband sends me gifts to me. I feel that he has me in his mind and always thinks of me. I also give him many times gifts.

Hello Titaniumsoul, Happy Friday. I hope you have fabulous plans for the weekend! So, can I ask if you're inquiring about whether we like the idea of receiving gifts, in general? Or, are you asking what kinds of gifts do we prefer receiving? Personally, I'm pretty easy to satisfy. Hubby does most of the food shopping. I do most of the other shopping. And, I have some food allergies. So, it means that reading labels is very important. In light of the tediousness of label reading, I consider it a gift everytime Hubby finds some new food item, that I can eat. It's very thoughtful of him. For my birthday and our anniversary, Hubby will always bring home a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Usually roses, but sometimes daisies or alstromeria. I appreciate them all equally. Hubby never buys me jewelry because I buy my own. I'm kind of particular about gemstones, and have wholesale contacts that he would not have access to. So, overall it's a gift idea that is best avoided by him. Plus, he knows I'd be bothered if he went to a mall and paid retail prices, when I can usually get higher quality for much less. Receiving a gift confirms that you are present in your sweetie's mind. It doesn't have to be big, or expensive. As the old cliche goes: it's a token of one's affections. Of course, I would be remiss if I failed to also mention that giving a gift is often times more satisfying than receiving. I love to bring him home special little things that relate to his hobbies, or things that he needs but would never think to get for himself. Gifting just shows that you care. Receiving just confirms that you're loved and appreciated.

Excellent points Hmmmmm. I'm reminded of the old Christmas Carol, "The Twelve Days of Christmas". As a child, I supposed that the receiver was just a huge fan of birds. As I got older, and recognized the time frame the carol was written, it occurred to me that the birds were probably for eating. Not a pretty picture, but gifting of food items have a long history of being favorites. Especially when the tummy's a growlin'!

Sure I will be happy to get any gift from my husband, just hoping it's something I like. People say every little thing is precious as long as it's from the loved one, but sometimes I do hope I can get something I love. I never like jewellery or flowers, but I don't mind if I get one. Sometimes I don't know what I really like, but I do know what I don't like.
