Here is a picture of a really cute craft we made today in my daycare. It's a paper plate fish craft. You can use the cake size paper plates. I didn't have any that size so I used the regular size and cut them down a little. You just cut a triangle shape out for the mouth. Have the child color 2 triangle shapes, 1 for the fin and 1 for the tail, glue or staple them on. Then have the child glue on an eye, or you can let them draw one. They can then glue on colored circles for scales, or they can be drawn on. It's a really easy and cute craft. Best of all, it doesn't cost much to make!

Yes feel free to use it. If you look at my other discussions, there are a few other crafts that I shared. Not sure if you've seen those yet.

I forgot, there's one more thing I wanted to ask you. Are the children in your class making a Father's Day gift? I haven't decided yet what my kids will be making. I have to get busy on that!

Hi daycarepal, yes the kids are having a ball with Father's Day projects. They did cards, showing off their writing skills...I saw a really nice project. They used cereal boxes, decorated them and cut them up in puzzle pieces. I have definately seen your projects, they are really nice. You do a good job with your children. Keep up the good work and know that I appreciate you!!! Take care...

That is so cute. I will have to tell my mom. She volunteers at the local school to teach arts and crafts. She does not have any money yet she still buys all the supplies for the kids to make things. We are always looking for cheap and easy things for her to make with them.

Your mom sounds like a very caring person. Feel free to share with her all of the other crafts I've posted. I hope she is able to use some of them. I try to post new crafts often.

Thank you, My mom does not have a computer and she lives an hour and a half drive from me but I will check them out and take them to her next week. She is an amazing woman. I admire her very much.

My girls are both grown, so I won't be doing it with either of them, but that is real cute and cheap project to make.
