Have you tried the new Diet Coke PLUS?

I am NOT a diet Coke fan at all. I love my diet Pepsi and would walk past a Coke machine and walk another mile for a Pepsi BUT sometimes we have no choice. Today while waiting for my daughter to get out of surgery at the Shriners I went down to get a diet soda. They had the new Diet Coke Plus which is a diet Coke with vitamins and minerals. I figured if I had to suffer with Coke, I may as well at least I could get the benefits of the extra vitamins and minerals. LOL Have you tried it? Do you think it's a good idea?

Yes I have and I liked it very much. Now I only buy that type of cola. I'm very sure that the makers of other soda products will follw suit.

I hope so. I am an avid Diet Pepsi fan big time and would LOVE to be able to get the vitamins and minerals too.

I am a coke drinker, but it can be Pepsi or Coke I am not picky just as long as it is NOT diet, I just never have liked Diet and I have tried it many times in my life, has such a bad after taste. But I am glad you liked it.

I wouldn't say I "LIKED" it... but I tolerated it and at least got some vitamins and minerals out of it! LOL I wonder if they're going to release it or have released it in regular along with the diet version?

This is so stupid. It's like candy bars that have half the calories. I have tasted Coke Zero, which is exactly the same thing as Diet Coke just sold in new packaging. It tastes the same as Diet Coke which I can tolerate but way prefer Diet Pepsi. If Coke is the Real Thing...Why do they keep changing it????

Well there's no question that it's a marketing ploy but I kind of like the idea of adding some nutrients and minerals and vitamins to a soft drink. I'm certain it isn't going to become the next "health food" by any means but I do wish Diet Pepsi would try it too. I figure if I'm going to drink it I may as well get some benefits from it! LOL

I'm the opposite of you- I'd walk past a Pepsi machine to find a coke machine- I have not tried it yet-- How was it?? I love Coke and Diet Coke- But a pop with extra stuff in it- Does it taste alot different- leave a bad aftertaste? I guess I could just go buy one and find out-

I didn't see any difference between regular diet coke and this one but perhaps an avid DC fanatic can tell the difference. I know I can tell immediately if there's any difference in my DP! LOL

*stands up* Hi, My name is DLKUKU and I am addicted to Diet Coke. I have to have diet coke, nothing else will do. I've tried diet coke plus, I think it tastes the same, I will drink one once in a while, I figure I am drinking soda anyway, might as well pump a few vitamins in while I am at it.

I have not tried it yet, but a friend of mine drinks it and she seems to like it. I am a big Mountain Dew and Dr. Pepper fan, but I think it is a good idea for people who drink Diet Coke. I think that having the vitamins and minerals in it is better for you. I will have to give it a try.

Well I definitely don't think they did it to bring the non-diet soda drinkers over but perhaps are hoping that even some diet pepsi drinkers will switch for the benefits. Who knows? But I will say I do like the idea.

My husband and I tried that when it first came out, or there shortly after. And we really liked in. We drink diet coke and can't stand pepsi, the new plus diet coke was actually better, in our opinion, then regular diet coke and better for us. So we are going to try and switch ours to those when we can easily.

I didn't see a difference in taste either and figured that since it was a little bit healthier for you, why not? I personally detest coke so I won't be switching but I am kind of hoping that Pepsi comes out with it!!!

No, I am an avid Coke fan there is nothing that comes close. I have tried other coke varieties but I just dont like them, so it back to coke. I suppose it is a good idea though.

I am a Pepsi drinker, but I did try the DC+. It was ok, I would not go out of my way to drink it. I guess if it has some nutritional value, we can then justify drinking it more then the regular stuff but I figure I eat pretty healthy and most of what was in it, I really did not need. How is your daughter?

That is interesting, I hadn't heard of it. It does sound like a good idea though for those who drink a lot of soft drinks. At least they are getting some benefit from drinking it. I do like diet caffeine free coke. I'm trying to cut all caffeine out of my diet. But, it is awfully hard giving up chocolate.
