AC: Review Skipped In Submission Queue

I have no idea what is going on over at Associated Content. I submitted a bunch of reviews and today they started getting processed and I was given the dollar amount offers. I checked my account and there are a couple older reviews that they skipped over. One is from 05/27 and another is from 05/31. They weren't declined or rejected, they still say "Submitted for payment/Exclusive". These were original pieces and took a lot of time to write so I don't want to delete them but it is irking me that they are taking so long to process them or make an offer. Should I resubmit them or email them and ask them what the deal is? Five other reviews have been processed after those were submitted so I know they aren't backlogged with pending reviews.

It may just be the way that they landed in the stack. I know on another website I deal with that "last in" occasionally gets read first.

AC has many content managers. I would guess that the ones that are already process were in queue of a different CM. The one that has the others may have a large back log or something similar. I get really irritated with AC too. But, the one thing I have learned is that you just have to be patient. All they will tell you if you email them is that they will be processed when they are processed. And, they probably won't even respond to the email until after the problem has resolved itself. That's been my experience, anyway.

The two that are "stuck" were submitted on 5/27 and 5/31. Since then eight have been submitted, processed, paid and published. Those two are still sitting there. I am going to give it a couple more days and then delete them and resubmit them.

Hopefully these were just overlooked as someone else stated as they might deal with the Newest submitted first, and then work their way backward. But if you have any Questions, you might contact them and see what they suggest. I know that my submissions sometimes are accepted right away, and other times it takes longer, so I am not sure what there normal process is with this site.

Don't worry. Same thing happened to me. They had skipped over 2 or 3 of my articles. Then a couple days later they went back and reviewed those. Not sure why but dont worry, they will definately go back and review them too

Freak, I had the same thing happen, I just removed it (X in the content page) and resubmitted it as if it were a new article, changed nothing. They reviewed it and paid me for it a couple of days later. Try that and see if it helps.

The same thing happened to me once before, but it wasn't long before I was finally paid and the article was published. It may be that they want to publish your best articles first and then go from there. Feel free to view some of my articles at: http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/70069/silent_thinker.html

still seem within the reasonable two week period or so I would wait until it has been longer...and then i find if there is an issue contacting with a polite e-mail tends to get a quick response

I would just shoot Michael and e-mail.. Anytime I am having problems getting something submitted I just shoot Michael and e-mail and he usually takes care of it. The thing to remember is you're getting paid for your writing and there's no many places that do that so try not to get discouraged and be patient with them - there's TONS of people writing for that site each day!

I haven't had anything like that happen. I did have one article sit for almost two weeks, then I did a minor edit and resubmitted. It was accepted right away the second time it was submitted. I thought that maybe they wouldn't accept the second one because I already had one in the queue, because it was accepted almost as soon as I took the first one out to edit it, then the one I edited was accepted a day or two later.

I am not sure why they skipped over them, but I do know that AC states that it can take up to two weeks for a response. So if it hasn't been two weeks yet, then I would just wait. But if it has been more than two weeks, I would email them about it.

When I first started on AC, they used to let you know which CM was reviewing your stuff. They took that feature away, but I think that they do still divide the incoming articles amongst different people. It may just be that the overlooked pieces ended up going to someone with a longer queue, while the already processed pieces went to someone with a shorter queue. I'd say if they haven't been reviewed a couple of weeks after you submitted them, you probably should E-mail someone at AC. I don't remember the E-mail address right now, unfortunately.

I got a decline notice about one of them saying that it wasn't accepted because it sounded too "promotional". So if I try something and like it and write a review of it .. I can't make it sound like I like it too much? That makes no sense lol
