I subscribe to Writer's Digest and I used to subscribe to Martha Stewart Living and Real Simple. When I visit my mom, I grab the magazines she's finished with - Family Circle, Women's Day, Self and Woman's World. :)

Reader's Digest and Writer's Digest actually aren't related to each other or put out by the same company - their titles do sound like they would be though, don't they? :) It's a very good magazine for those interested in taking that serious step towards a successful writing career. I love it!

I get lots of them, but don't really have much time to read them. We get National Geographic, Reminisce, Angel Digest, and Home Beautiful. My mother-in-law and an aunt like to give magazine subscriptions for gifts. The kids also get some, but I can't think of the names of them.

I've dropped most of the magazines I subscribed too. They ended up sitting around, not getting read because I couldn't seem to find the time. The most recent one I dropped was Ladies Home Journal. Good magazine with good, common sense articles. About the only one I've kept is Readers Digest. I've gotten that one for years and still enjoy it!

I love magazines- I get alot of them for free- I use that freelancebyu website- they have a tab for magazines- Every day they list 1 that is dirt cheap- and then free ones they have throughout the year- I get:
Family fun- have for the last 3 years for free
BHG
Womans Day (free)
Family Circle (free)
Shape (free but running out)
Self (free but running out)
All You- Love this one- not free paid full price- but it's my favorite one to read-
I'm looking for great deals on TV Guide, and Readers digest- nothing yet-- I get numerous other mags also- but I don't look at them - I donate them- ATV sport, some baseball one, Black enterprise ?? , some I didn't even sign up for-

Well, I was give a subscription to Natural Health and I have never learned so much valuable information as I do in that magazine. I got it free, but it would be worth every penny. Also, my brother-in-law gave me a subscription to ESPN magazine. I kind doubt you would want a sports magazine, but you never know. : ) I subscribe to People magazine because it has book reviews, movie reviews, and real stories about heroes. It also has entertainment news, but nothing tabloid like.

My subscription to Mother Earth News is paid up till 2010 cause I love it so much. If your thinking or wanting to become self-sufficent or go green, this is the magazine for you. Talks about solar power, the environment, straw-bale houses, farming, a lil of everything. I also read the Ladies Home Journal, Good Housekeeping, Country..thanks to my mom. lol

What I read and what I subscribe to are two different things. I have a subscription to Reader's Digest hoping I would be able to find a way to make money writing for them. I read the first issue I received and there are 4 more sitting here unread. I am so far behind.
My sister gave me a subscription to Writer's Journal (the American version) which I read cover to cover.
One of my fellow writer's has a subscripton to Writer's Digest. She passes the issues on to me to read. I have two of them right now waiting to be read. Not really my fault as she gave them to me late and together. Seems she missed getting a few issues.
I used to subscribe to Rose Magazine. When that went belly-up I started receiving Ladies Home Journal (who published Rosie). I never read one of them but kept them all. You never know when you need to look for pictures or words. It's good to have a stack of magazines on hand, especially since I am trying to put together a life map... if I can find the time!

I normally wouldn't subscribe to magazines as I can read them at the college (I teach there) or public library for free. But, each of my children had to sell magazine subscriptions in order to go to prom so I bought a few. I am subscribed to Cooking Light (which I love!) and Finess Magazine (love this one too!) and Sports Illustrated (got this one for hubby...I personally loathe it!Ha!) I enjoy taking an afternoon and going to the library to read magazines. I find it so peaceful and quiet there! Both libraries are only a mile from my house so it is not a big deal. Plus, I work on campus 2 days a week anyway!

I personally don't subscribe to any magazines, I prefer to buy them whenever I want to read. I used to subscribe to some magazines but I found that I didn't really have time for them and I was always trying to catch up with the old magazines. Therefore, I cancel the subscription and buy them only whenever I want to read. I usually buy magazines of celebrity news (to release my brain), beauty and fashion magazines (to catch up with the latest products, technology or trend), and investment magazines (currently learning how to invest and therefore I need some advice).

I enjoy Wired, which is a conglomoration of technology, politics, society, and science. They have a lot of really interesting articles on events and new inventions that really excite my interest.

I don't subscribe to any. I don't like magazines nor books either! I hate to read and I don't comprehend half of what I read therefore I don't do it.
