Am I a bad person

i joined mylot a few weeks ago, not ot make money, but to enjoy conversation, make some new friends, and offer my life experiences when i feel the urge. at first, i was getting friend requests, people were responding to my lame attempts at starting discussions, and were also commenting on my responses. in a few threads, i opened up and wrote things about myself that, i am going to guess, people didn't like. i have been controversial at times, but always open and honest. i do have a kind of sick sense of humor and can be very sarcastic at times, but i try to never be hurtful, only helpful. i was raised to be myself, regardless of who other people think you should be. and to treat people the way you like to be treated, regardless of how they treat you. i'm not going to threaten leaving, because i do enjoy participating in discussions here on mylot. but i am interested in knowing......do you judge people by what they write on here? do you think that people are bad or evil because they don't agree with you or have a different lifestyle then you, and thus, refuse to correspond with them? i'm not asking just for myself, but in general.

As the saying goes you can please some people some of the time but not all the time! There will always be someone in a site this big that will take something the wrong way and will get offended, controversial issues do tend to be a red rag to a bull for some people. You are not a bad person, it does take some time to get fully established on Mylot and after a time you will build up a good friendship, rapport. Glad you are not under the illusion that you will make a lot of money on this site! I am here for friendship and the great community, do as you are doing and belated welcome to Mylot.

thank you, wolfie. i've noticed some of your discussions here on mylot. let me tell you why you are here. for words of encouragement and friendship like you have given me. thank you for taking the time out of your hectic life to respond to a total stranger, for now. i am sending a request to befriend you. no offense if you choose to deny. thanks again, and hang in there, better days are coming for you.

you do not seem to be so bad...but probaly what you typed in must have offended others...so be very caryful with the words you type in here...even if you disagree...do not type in words that will simply blame the person upfront but you should apply the indirect approach like dont say do you disagree just point out your concerns and opnions by doing so, i do not see any reason why people would view your opinions as evil.

We all tend to judge by what we see and hear...just human nature. So, on here, we can only get to know you by what you write. It is sometimes easy to misunderstand someone or their intent just by the words written if they are not careful to say exactly what they mean. I will only think bad or evil of someone if what they have written is so off the wall and sounds pretty abnormal. If I don't agree with their interests, I may not care to respond to their discussions. I'd rather respond to things that interest me than to fight over controversial things all of the time.

well, thank you for taking the time to respond to mine. i do agree that it is human nature to judge. and i like to think that i am a good judge of people, but i certainly have made some doozies for mistakes.

I don't see anything bad in your discussion..., We're all free to express our opinions here in mylot and its good that yours have been coming from an open mind. No harm done in contradicting views. Just keep on posting your thoughts and have fun. Cheers!

I don't judge them for what they write.
I figure a lot of people make up things to get responses.

Well i feel there is no harm in expresing yourselves through discussions and we are here to discuss only related to any topic...so keep on discussing new things.......
