Why is mylot banning people?

It may be for umpteen reasons for to mylot can ban the members. But in your case make a request that Two accounts from single address and single IP address to mylot for them to know. Until then they think 'michelledarcy' and 'rachelldarcy' as one and having two accounts. So keep them clarified about the facts. See for more at guidelines.

I know for one that mylot has banned some accounts who uploaded a lot of pictures. They had to check i think each account if there were some abuse as to uploading of pictures.

I was banned for 6 days due to an investigation of possible abuse of the guidelines. I was unfortunate that I had never even recieved a warning or notice that I may be banned etc. That was the worst part. That's all I ca say about it as mylot frowens on this type of talk because it evidently got a lot of members concerned and they flooded mylot with PMs about this topic. Anyhow this person you refer to had to have violated one guideline or another and therefore was banned or possibly under investigation as I was for almost a week. I dont know what else to say. How weird. I've seen some of her old discussions and I don't believe I ever saw anything offending to the guidelines or other mylotters. I can think of other users who are in much more need of banning than she is.

Ok, this is the 2nd time I have heard about this. They seem to be able to send alerts for other things, if they ar going to ban people for something - either temporarily or permanently they should send out an alert saying what is going on and why. I myself do not seem able to upload pictures, they just don't get uploaded. It might be my browser, I can upload to my profile but not to a discussion.

Hello,michelldarcy,I am not sure about the exact reasons why your sister is banned ,but i just read a discussion about this yesterday.Mylot has received huge numbers of photo abuses thses days and they are now having individual investigations on the members who have many photos in their profiles,may be your sister has uploaded a lot of photos on her profiles and mylot need to suspend her account for a while,her account should be reactivated if she has not uploaded any forbidden pictures. Hope she will be fine later.

I guess the best way is to ask Mylot why she got banned since they are the only ones that knows for sure. I have seen people being banned for links, pictures, bad language and so on. I am sure that they have a reason, even though it might not be right and then u ahve to object to it.

that is so sad to hear michelledarcy. the best thing to do is to contact mylot about it. Who knows they might restore her account back, for after all there was an error.If the opposite happens well, that's really sad..i just hope everything will turn out fine with your sister and mylot.

Oh no I am so upset about this..she is banned again? I ho-pe she can come back I really miss her, she made a new one and put me on friend's list..so she can't use that one at all now? Oh no..I am really upset now..

I think I read that in mylot rules not to post referral links sometime ago. So she might not be banned because people are giving her bad responses or mark her negative. but you said she stopped doing that, so I wonder what was the reason for banning her this time? Another friend of mine had problem using her old account, so then she created new one and after sometime the old account was activated again. Maybe there is still hope for your sister's account.

i have one friend who has started here in mylot two weeks ago and he just got banned the other day. he did not receive any warning or notification from mylot that he cannot join anymore mylot. he tried many times signing in the site but to no avail. i advised him to contact mylot admin and ask any explanaton from them why he was banned. accordingly, mylot does not reply him 'til now. now, we both ask the same question on what would happen to the earnings one member has accumulated in mylot? that was unfair of him, am i right?

just advice her to always follows the rules and guidelines that is the solution to her problems with mylot.

the same thing happend to my wife a few days ago, she notcied she posted a question about perfume and one person answered and it got taged for poll type question so she figured this person hit the !.. The next day she got an e mail from MYlot saying her account was being reviewed, she has noticed that the past few days her ratings has gone down. She is still unable to post and I wrote them an e mail and gave her e mail address to see what the hold up was..
