What boring jobs or tasks do you hate to do?

I have to admit I'm a bit fuzzy headed at the moment...Why? Well, folks, I just completed one really boring task that I have to admit I've put off for too long--going through all my former e-mails to see what I could put in folders to save, and which ones to delete into oblivion--yikes I didn't realize how much "work" I had to do with this--so now I'm so brain-drained from sitting in front of the computer from going through all those e-mails. Probably the next boring task that runs in my mind as one of those you put off....going through old papers to see what's good and what can be trashed out...
So folks...what's one (or two) of your boring tasks that you dread doing as it's so time-consuming?

edge detailing the woodwork in my house.
constantly stopping to change buckets because it gets so filthy.
second worse is probably cutting my mom's monstrous front hedges.they're at least 8 ft high and i have no idea how long.

Anything that requires me to sweat a lot, I hate it, LOL! I used to be like taking on a whole lot of workload everyday. Household chores, doing my works, tending to my girls, listening to other people's problems and so on. The pressure was too much and I realized I didn't have any life of my own anymore.
For instance here at mylot. I stop catching up on all my friend's discussions. We all work in different time zone. No matter one of the thread is 3 days old already, I will still make sure to respond there. That's why I only chose a select few from my list to turn the notifier on. I want my time with mylot a relaxing one.

My life has become a lot more simplified now....my mom had created an overpopulation of pet problem but she never helped out with the cleaning....I had to do this routine cleaning thing just about every waking moment...hated it...while my mom the creator of the problem didn't do a think...I still have two "babies" but oh, I no longer have to clean the way I used to...what a blessed relief!!

Oh, yeah. Organizing the old email file ranks right up there with cleaning the oven, the refrigerator and the toilet! Going through snail mail is almost as bad!

LOL - as soon as I started reading this discussion the first thing that went through my mind was going through old bills and papers! I have put it off for far too long and it so needs to be done. Not only that but for about 6 months I haven't even filled a single bill! So I've got that to deal with too!! I did seperate them a while ago when I was looking for something though. But they're still lying in the floor needing to be filed. :( I'll do that a bit later when I get caught up on here.

I heard seven years for taxes so I just go with that. Every two years or so I like to go through the filing cabinet and pull out the later year, put them in an envelope and into the basement. That way my cabinet isn't so full :)

Mopping the floor! Whether it is by hand, or using a Swiffer 'mop', it always hurts my back and I'm never quite happy with it even if I use the 'mop'. So I go back over the wetness with a paper towel and I can see the dirt I picked up. I just want to have my floors as clean as possible. I live in an apartment complex and I don't want to attract any bugs. I fear silver fish! LOL

Oh--those are fast little buggers aren't they?? Haven't seen them in ages,..thank goodness! Believe it or not I clean my floor by getting on my hands and knees and scrubbing it...I too get an aggravated back from mopping...so it's either a bum back or crummy knees....LOL---the knees win out

I positively hate to clean closets and the rrefrigerator. I leave the refrigerator for so long, that things grow in there. Its a jungle by the time I take myself in hand and do it...lol..I always make a will before I start just in case something happens...:}

Oh yes, I can't forget the fridge. That's why when I moved into my apartment and they had a fridge already, I vowed to be on top of it and clean it so often it doesn't have a chance to turn ugly. Because some fridges are a must for the diet: you open it up and are so grossed out you can't eat anything in it! : )

I would have to say dusting is one thing I really don't like doing. It seems a never ending job around my home. And, just when I think I have everything dusted, then I see something that I missed. Then in about 2 days, it is all dusty again. I don't know why it gets so dusty, I've tried all kinds of polishes and everything. But, it is a never ending job and I really don't like to do it.

That's a lousy job too....I had electricians re-wire the apt. which meant banging in holes in the walls..that was about a month ago, and I'm still trying to get the coating of plaster dust off everything..bad enough with regular dust...

Oh - ironing - definately. The most boring, mind-numbing job known to man (or woman for that matter!). As far as possible I buy all clothes in non-iron fabrics, because I just don't have the time and patience for it. After all - what's the point - hours slaving over getting creases out of something that will appear again within 5 minutes of you wearing it?!

Oh that's funny...you're right...you get something nicely ironed and five minutes after wearing it it looks the same

I hate folding and hanging up the laundry. My home is filled with my different collections, all of my treasures and as much as I love them I hate dusting also. I don't mind vacuuming or mopping, doing dishes or even cleaning the toilet, but those 2 mentioned household chores really grate on my senses.

well in the past, washing dishes was very boring to me and i usually hated it. but then again id rather wash dishes than wash my clothes and hang them afterwards. its such a hateful task that i wish i didnt have to wear clothes so that i wouldn have to wash them, hang them and then iron them. i hate it and it is very mundane. i dont really like doing household chores, but what can i do?./ if i dont do it then who would?. oh i hate it!. so so so much.

I have to say sweeping and mopping the floors! It really wouldn't be so bad considering I only have the kitchen and the bathroom, but see, we have this cat. And this cat likes to chase the broom. And the mop. And jump into the piles of bits that I've swept scattering it everywhere again.
It's a wonder that the cat hasn't gotten to know the broom handle on a very intimate level yet! :P

I hate doing the gorcery shop. It is so tedious and so repetitve and I could do it in my sleep. It is boring, but it has to be done. Then I hate having to put it all away once I get it home! It seeems like such a waste of time, but you've got to eat!

I really don't mind it too much...I try getting most of it done in one day and stock up...but then of course, is that extra container of milk, or eggs, or....mmm...maybe it is boring!! LOL

I hate going to traffic building sites with manual interface to try and get visitors to the sites that pay me for said visitors.. too much needless busy work. If I had sense i'd just BUY points, credits, hits and all that.. but NOOOO I just HAVE to be cheap.
