What are you AFRAID of?

I am afraid of losing a loved one, of flying and of heights. I just can't control being afraid of them. It's really unreasonable and irrational for me no matter how much I reassure myself that its nothing.

Im afraid of sankes lots especially the really black ones.I hate them.I never had any bad experiences with them but I just hate them and Im really scared of those creatures.

lightning I am sure everyone is afraid of something. There are a few things that I fear, but I think the major one is fear of not being worth, not being important enough. I fight it, always have, but it's there. I know I shouldn't, I know that me being adopted was actually a great thing. But the feeling I had was always that I hadn't been important enough for people to want me, to keep me. Later on my teen years, when we all are a bit difficult, my adoptive parents were at a loss on how to deal with me I suppose, so they used to tell me that they will just send me back to my birth parents. They really didn't mean it - or maybe they did - but the fact is that again I was feeling that I wasn't worth by myself. That I could be discarded if I wasn't exactly the way they wanted me to be.That if I was just me, I wasn't important or enough to keep. Later on in my marriage when things were bad and stress high, again I "learned" that I was important only if and when I conformed and was exactly what people wanted me to be. Otherwise I could easily be discarded. I was finally able to work this out within myself and have since made sure that I am who I am and that I remember that I am worth because I"m me. I learned to disregard my insecurities and minimize my need to feel I'm important to the people I care about. But I know that deep down the fear is still there.

Once in my life I have the fear of Falling in love for once I do Fail in love...that's the most fear ever I felt in life.

I am afraid of losing my loved ones and those who are closest to me. They are an integral part of my life, and should they not be around tomorrow, I will suddenly feel a sense of emptiness, loss and sorrow. It is like I have lost a part of me. Then life will never be the same again.
