100 Star Rating!!!

Hello,gpraveenkumar5 ,since i have joined mylot for 4 months,i have seen four or five members having a star rating of 100,not only their discussions and replies are of good qualities,all the members would have rated them positively,may be they have never got any negative rating,that is what they stay at rating 100 from time to time.

I still do not understand how this star thingy works. I got a star next to my name with the number 8 on it. What are the benefits, if any, of the star system? And many posts promise to give you a = rating if you reply. How does that work? Can yourself or someone explain?

I used to worry so much about my star rating , Until one time someone was going about giving a lot of us 10 stars minus ratings , I got upset and my friends rallied round and by the next day I was back up to 10 , I red though that this has nothing to do with My Lot and only the My Lotte-rs can + or _ your stars , I don't let it get me don now ( to tell the truth it hasn't happened again except for a glitch wit my lot) and I have so many lovely friends here whom I know wouldn't give me minus ratings , i have never had a cross word with anyone on the site so if I do go down I know it is someone who doesn't know me , Enjoy the site as it is good fun and full of such lovely people xx

I have seen a few others around here, but I never thought of calling attention to them.

How do we find out this 100/100 ratings? Can you please clarify?

I checked the link..great to see someone with 100 reputation.Thanks for bringing it to the notice of other mylotters as still date i was also wondering whether anyone out there with 100% reputation points. I check the points of people with 10 rating to see the reputation points.Even iam with 99 points.

congratulations the, but this doesn'tmean that everyone else who doesn;t have such rating are not doing their best ..but kudos to you sherry..thanks for being an inspiration to us mylotters.

I didn't even know what the stars were for until after I read this discussion! Thanks. It's good to know that some people actually take time and put some thought into what they are going to say.

Well done Sherry12 and others. It doesn't make any practical difference what your star rating is here at myLot. It makes no difference to your earnings and no difference to your discussion or posts. However, a perfect 10 does indicate to me that they are never contentious and agree with whatever anyone says. Now that's not much fun. haha

How do we know our own star rating. Where do we look for it. I have a rating of 9, but I don't know my star rating. Please help.

Congratulations to all the 100/100 myLotters, and kudos to you for all the work it took to find these cool folks! If you want to express your opinions freely here, expect to have your star go down sometimes. We are supposed to rate a person's comment by a simple standard: did it contribute to the topic being discussed? It shouldn't have anything to do with whether you agree with what was written, but many people give negatives to posts they disagree with. There have also been situations where one myLotter would feel offended by another, and the offended party would go to every discussion the other person wrote or responded to, and rate every single entry a negative. In one extreme case, the offended person even got some of their friends to help them! So, you can't take the stars too seriously. They don't affect our pay, so the only thing you should wonder if your rating goes down is, hmmm... who did I piss off today?

I have not gotten there myself but i have saw a few on here that have though. Right now my 10 star is at a 97 hope to achieve it someday though but i am progress it is growing everyday. I believe i found at least 6 on here that have 100 and alot of 99s.

Hi,gpraveenkymar.There are nearly 100 thousand members in mylot.I think there must be many myloters have reach 100 reputaion.SO of cause not only your friend.You friend is great.I think she must have many high quality discussions and response.and many myloters give her"+".I think i can reach the top reputations,as long as i go on working hard and keep my discussions are quality.

So this may be a stupid question... But where do you find this numeric rating? I thought I needed 500 posts to see but I still can't. And I know we have a number rating in our stars from 1-10, but I can't find the 1-100 rating...where is it? I'd like to know mine! Thanks, and I'm sorry for the ignorance!
