i've been experiencing a lot of back pain later during the day after i exercise...its freaking me out a little bit, since i'm only 23, and i usually associate body pain with aged knees, weak bones, osteoporosis, etc. stuff which usually happens to older people. i also have a slight case of scoliosis, so that's bothering me a lot. should i consulting my doctor for this?

yes, I think you should consult your doctor for this. Even if it might not be anything at all I feel it is always good to talk to your doctor about any new pain. You say you are freaked out by it - so I think it is important to know what this is so you may stop worrying.

It is normal to have body pain after exercise, however, if it's in your back bone, I would advise you to see your doctor. It could be due to scoliosis and it might get worse if you continue on exercising. Come on, go and see your doctor.

Try doing a little more stretching before and after you work out. You might just be overdoing it a little and trying to do too much too quickly. If you aren't taking any supplements, ask at your local sport store if they carry a women's boost pack that can help with post work out stress on muscles, joints and bones.

There are a couple of reasons that you could be feeling pain after exercise. First off, you might just be dehydrated. Be sure you drink a lot of water while exercising and throughout the day in general. If you already have scoliosis and you think that the pain might be associated with that, I would go see a doctor.

First thing first, did you have a good stretch before and after the exercise? How long was it since you last exercised?
It may be a small thing after all (hopefully) but if you think it is serious, do pay the doctor a visit. :(

I suggest you get it checked for a slipped disc. It might not be a bad case but it could be a pinched nerve. My husband suffers from a slipped disc and he suffers pains when he hasn't exercised correctly so I suggest you check it out so as not to injury yourself further. Take care; )

yeah, that could be possible. something just came to me. a few days ago i had someone do shiatsu on me, but i dont think he did it too well. i also had someone do ventusa on me,something for our requirements in school (nursing), where we have to do shiatsu, ventusa, accupressure, etc. on each other...the ventusa wet ok, but the shiatsu left me feeling sore, especially my shoulder blades and spine, where he was exerting a lot of pressure during the massage.. perhaps that also added to the pains i'm feeling now.if i can, i'd go to a shiatsu clinic right now and have the proper thing done on me, anything to take take this pain away. i have advil and tylenol around, but i try to avoid meds as often as i can.

You might be needing to strengthen your pelvic girdle muscles to support your back. Do you have a trainer?
You should have annual exams regarding your scoliosis. You are not too old for it to continue developing. The doctor might prescribe physical therapy and the therapist could advise you as to what exercises would help your body compensate for the curving spine.
My older daughter had scoliosis develop very early and it was really severe. She had two spinal surgeries a couple of years apart to implant herrington rods. Scholiosis usually develops during puberty and advances as the person grows. It is possible that you are still growing, I suppose.
To be safe, check with your doctor.

well i would suggest that you stop doing the exercise youre doing temporarily obviously the exercises are putting too much strain on your back muscles causing them to hurt. you have to go back to basics back pain is a common problem in sports for anyone who trains anyway. you should do some simple basic back exercises every day and also maybe see about taking some multivitamins and protein drinks to build your energy pilates is good for strengthening the back and aligning the spine so is yoga, also basic dance classes stretching and strengthen exercises - a couple of simple back exercises are lying face down you come up to kneel on all fours position your hands and arms in front of you on the floor then you push back and rock gently forwards and back 8 times and then for the last time just rest in the rock back position to stretch your back out, do this twice every day. the other one is starting on all fours you move down gently to lying position your hands on the floor to support you and then arch your back by pushing up with your hands slightly lifting your head up then you hold it there for say 4 seconds and slowly go down to lying and then back to all fours. you do this 4 times and then go into the rock back position to stretch out i hope this helps and i feel very sorry for you

Perform an exercise with a warm-up start. Do the stretching, the jogging and most specially the breathing. After this routine, you can do the taebo. Or any other excercise. I think if the pain is not the usual, if you often start taebo with a warm-up routine they go see a doctor. Something inside your body might have caused the pain. It is healthy to balance excercise with a good diet and an annul medical check-up is very much recommended. God bless!

Maybe its your scoliosis that is troubling you,but since im not an expert...i wud like to advice you to consult the doctor or a friend who is a doctor since that will be less costly...if you have a family history of osteoporosis,ie if your mom had osteoporosis then you should be on guard

It usually happens when you start exercise and do a lot on the very first day, we should increase our exercise time gradually over a week or so, but if you have been doing regular exercise for long and have recently started getting the back pain then it is better to consult a doctor.

the back pain is maybe because you had scoliosis, the strenght of your muscle in both of your spine maybe not balance, or your ligaments or muscles in your spine is a little tight in one side. do you know the curvatue of your scoliosis. you should stretch the concave side of your scoliosis by lying facedown, keep yor hips immobile then move your upper body toward the convex side of your scoliosis( keeping in mind that your goal is to straigthen your scoliosis)keep that position for 2 mins in a mild comfortable pain.

I was obese before and found it damn tough to lose weight. I used be on diet, work hard over my body doing impossible exercises and running daily in the morning. Finally, it paid me off and surprisingly i could lose 19 kg within 3-4 months. It is still one of the biggest achievements of my life. I felt so very happy when i looked slim and good looking.

Hey. I think you should consult your doctor, especially if its worrying you... I only had some muscle pain the very first time I started working out, which was my muscles not being used or stretch in that way. I workout often and dont have a problem anymore... I think you should contact your doctor, for peace of mind anyway... Have a great day...
