why do americans diss canada and canadians?

i'm from the philippines, and i see american shows making fun of canada and canadians.. why?

What kind of shows are you using as a reference?
A sitcom is meant to be funny and it is intended to be humorous. I am sure other countries make fun of America. Such as McDonald's jokes.

yes they are funny, and i know its not a serious bashing of canada
like conan o'brian, or movies that makes fun of canada, i know that canada and america don't have anything against each other, but some people comes across as if they mock canada.
but not all

Conan is silly. He actually insulted every country just to see if someone would send a letter complaining. That was his way of finding out what countries get his show. LOL
