How often do you get friend requests on mylot?

I seem to get at least one friend request everyday, if not more.
I seem to wonder why.
Do these friends of mine request because they like my discussions, or are they just looking for a good friend?
I never deny a friend request though.
If someone wants to be my friend, I am happy and exuberant.
I love friends.
I always accept my requests.
I hear from many mylot users deny because they have so little discussions, or they do not reply to them.
They even go and remove friends for these causes.
I personally do not care if they respond to my discussions or not.
I am not saying I do not appeciate their replies, I am saying that if they are not interested in answering a certain discussion, I can understand.
So, do you accept all or your friend requests or do deny some?
If you deny, why?
If accept, again, why?
Have you ever removed friends? Why?
Tell all.

Maybe cuz you are a girl and you get a request just you are a pretty thing to look at.
I hardly get any requests. and I'm not complaining.
I denied a few people yes, that's cuz they are just spammers and will gain NOTHING from their friendship.

I am still new and my list of friend is not as many as others. I always accept friend request and never deny it but I know, some people who I requested to be my friend, denied to accept me in the list. It is okay for me. I don't mind either. I never checked the profile before I accept them to be in my list. For me, I don't need to. I accept all kind of friends from different cultures, countries, races, religions and whatever. For me, it is not a big deal whether people want to accept me in their list or not. I just like the discussions here very much.

You will probably find me to be boring, but I've requested to be your friend. I'm a couple of generations older. It will be interesting to learn how you see the world at 18.

I almost never receive friend requests!!
I have 2 friends though.
I have been trying to refer others to MyLot - no referrals yet :-(
I have not been on too much - maybe that is why no one has requested me.
I am trying to free myself of some other stuff so I can spend more time in discussion.
Please do not give up on me !!!! LOL

I just requested you as a friend, now you will have lots of friends.
I've not had any luck getting referrals, either. My friends must be too busy. I, however, am retired and have lots of time.

Not so many any more. I'm not as active as I used to, and I tend to be controversial, that is I'm a deep thinker, highly opinionated, and I'll say what I think without beating around the bush or being fearful of offending someone. I don't think that most people that come here appreciate deep conversations, posts that require much thought, or for that matter controversy. I say it like it is. I don't care if people comment a whole lot on their own, or even my own posts, after all, I'm pretty busy in life, and I expect others are too.
Thanks for a pretty fun post, and thanks for putting up with me venting. Wish you the best,
David A. Reedy...

I have lots of myLot friends. Sometimes I request friends from people who reply to my discussions and sometimes people that reply to other discussions, ones I've replied to. I like to have friends who have lots of myLot experience so they can answer questions about it. And I like to have friends from other countries so I can learn from them and their experience. I even like to have friends who often disagree with me, as long as they aren't nasty about it. I don't know that I have ever denied any request. At least I don't remember if I have. I would drop any "friend" who made crude and irrelevant responses on a regular basis, I suppose.

Same here. I get an average of maybe 5 to 8 friend requests a week. I always approve all friend requests that comes to me.., and once I approve them, I never delete. Although there are times I am tempted to delete those who are inactive for months already. But there's no harm leaving them on the list so I don't bother removing them. Cheers! Happy Posting :)

I get several requests a week. Most I will accept if they aren't spammers, argumentative bigots, nonsensical time wasters, or blatant abusive jerks. Everyone else is ok in my book! I also send out many requests a week if I find someone's discussions interesting or thought provoking or just plain fun. I do not answer all of their discussions as that would take far more time than I have and sometimes I just don't have anything to say on the subject they brought up. I also don't expect them to respond to all of my discussions.
The only people I have removed from my friends list are those who are no longer regular visitors to myLot or people who have spammed me after I accepted their request. That annoys me to no end and they are outta there.

Hi,Jennifer21!
I have never deny the request.
I find that if I post much responses, then I will get more requests of friends.I'm not sure that each week I can get how much requests but if I enter into Mylot.com,I will see the friends' requests first.

I always accept a friend request here in myLot. Maybe they're quite interested with some of the topics I've posted that's why they're adding me on their list of friends. It's also nice to know that somebody wants to be a friend of yours. ;) There's no reason for me to deny such a request. ;)

I get anywhere from 1 to 10 a day, yes that many a day. I do not accept them all. In fact I deny a lot of them. I look at each profile, the discussions they have started, the ones they have replied to and what type of responses they have given, and I determine if we have something in common. If we will be interested in each other's works. If I don't think I'll be able to post to their discussions then I won't accept them and if they have not responded to any of mine or any I have posted in it makes me wonder why they chose me. I've had a few ask to be friends only to them PM me with link after link to join some site or another.
As for deleting friends I have. Ones that have spammed me or ones who have not been active for months. Other then that I keep them on there.

hi I rarely get friends request. But thats ok. I just like spending time here on my lot. I do accept all unless the person is offensive and just plain trying to cheat their way to more money then I deny them.

I don't accept all friends requests, but I acccept most.If a friend request comes from a person that I can't respond to any of the discussions they started,or we don't have anything in common, I deny the request. And I never remove a friend.
