Enough exercise?

Do you have enough exercise? Working from from 9am to 5pm is not as it seems today. A lot of people spend their time at the office, sitting at home playing video games, watching TV or even having snacks. How do you replace your 'lost' exercise time? Some people simply walk the staircase a few flights everyday, do some gardening and so on. How about you?

I stay at home with my son so I do have time to exercise, thankfully. When I worked a regular 8-5 job, I never really had the time...or the motivation because I was tired after a long day at work. I find how easy it is to get some sort of exercise in now though and if I were to go back to work, I would continue to do so. I walk about 6 or 7 miles a day and it only takes a little over an hour...so even half of that would be good for someone to do!

I agree. but in a hot climate like Malaysia, you might want to think twice of walking at such distance..lol..or you might just as well bring along an umbrella, you know, it might be very hot or suddenly rain..lol..thanks Amstardam

I understand! I spent a few months in Thailand at the hottest time of the year. I never saw people walking and if someone saw anybody walking they'd offer them a ride! I couldn't even ride a bike a short distance because the heat was unbearble! Yeah, be careful and don't walk outside when it's that hot for that long...don't want you to get dehydrated or anything.

That's my point. But if you watched National Geography where the tribes in the African desert walk for miles under the midday sun, simply amazed me.

Prayer in silence or silence yourself maybe in the chapel, church or your personel prayer room or maybe some yoga exercise...is a good mind exercise. Directly will give you healthy mind, spirit, soul and body as well...

This is a good mind therapy. Yes I agree if we meditate we can have peace of mind and with peace of mind we can think clear. When we can think clear we can arrange our time to do whatever including exercise even though we are busy.

I do get enough exercise since my job is like doing aerobics. lol I am cleaning offices, break rooms, restrooms and smoking rooms. Hauling trash, sweeper, and mop bucket. I only work nights and so with gardening and critters and household chores I am active alright. Also in the spring and fall I get to go to the flea markets and church rummages sales. That takes energy to shop too. So yes I absolutely get enough exercise.

I'm just less lucky since my jobs requires more time to sit than to move actively. in fact, i have to move away from the screen a few times in an hour. go to the pantry or to the window to refreshen the eyes. as a matter of fact, my handwriting has become uglier than before since i haven't written in a while..lol..

There is almost no such a job after which you cound atleast do some jogging, or if there is , that job itself is sport..

yes you are right. athletes are lucky to be in the sports world where they don't have to think about exercise. their jobs are the exercise itself. in fact, they think about rest.

I do some set-ups,stretching or brisk walking after i wake up in the morning. Maybe 45 minutes a day would be enough. And i also did some gardening today in our backyard. I planted some vegetables. It's really a nice feeling having some exercise a day. When i watch tv,i like to eat fruits.

I try to get as much exercise in everyday as I can. I know it is good for me and that is why I go for it as possible as I can.

I would think so too. I mean, you are doing something to burn off those calories even if it isn't as fast.

Yes me too. But sometimes too busy at work or even in the house can make you loose energy just to think of wanting to have an exercise. But then again, busy around the house doing the chores is an exercise in itself, right?

I try to walk but rarely get the opportunity to do so as I am usually rushing around and need the car! I have got a stepper at home but that bores me, yes walking is good for health. In my view walking at morning is good for health by which we can have good blood circulation in each and every part of the organ. Walking is good for health and can have as a exercise to our body too. In morning walking we can have a free to breath which is good for health and also fatness will be reduced.
