I had a fabulous weekend. Shopping for my upcoming trip, a birthday party for a little girl, good times, good food, good people. And then today happened!!! First I had no sleep for work, so I went through the entire night tired as can be. Then to top that off, all the computers decided to go on the fritz, one at a time. I just about had that taken care of and some of the very important programs we use went down. UGH!! Then I come home and check on my payment to my credit card company. I finally broke down and got a card because I want to buy a house, and they told me I needed to establish more credit than just my car. So I did, against my better judgment. I made a payment and wanted to check on it. Well, they are holding the payment and it looks as if they charged me other charges!! I call and get some lame-o that explains it all as if I should know they can hold a payment for up to 14 days!! I am ready to tear my hair out, and all I want to do is sleep. But guess what?? Summer vacation...kids are home from school and hubby is at work. I can't even sleep decently today. All I can say is .. Calgon take me away!! So how about you guys? Are you having a day like mine, or can you lift my spirits somehow?? Help mylotters, help!!

Yes, I have days like this all the time. It's very frustrating when nothing seems to be going right. I usually try to relax ,and I try to concentrate on solving the problems. There is always a solution for every problem. You need to cancel that credit card because they don't appear to be very honest. Just pay whatever you need to pay and close this account. Make sure you read everything before you accept credit because you might end up with hidden charges again. Don't rush into buying a house since now houses are going down and is a buyers market. Also, try to go to church at least once or twice a week and believe me this helps a lot. OH! I almost forgot, try to sleep and don't drink too much cofee.

thanks, we got permission from the US Dept of Treasury first, then the tickets were about $450 round trip each. Then there is the Visa for Cuba that is about $20 each. And so many other things. If you want to know more, PM me and I can give you as much info as I can.

Oh well, if you work the midnight shift, you need coffee. Just try not to drink coffee in the morning. Have a Safe Trip to Cuba! I would like to travel to Cuba to visit my aunt and cousin. How much is the ticket and what are the procedures to travel to Cuba? Take Care, Miriam

I had a similar bad day at work yesterday. All I wanted to do was go home and soak in a hot tub and go to bed! Well the stress got to me and I didn't sleep more than 3 hours. And I'm right here back at work today...grrrr. Everyone better be nice to me today. LOL! I hope we both have a better day today!

I've just been having a bad weekend, all of which started on Friday. My bad weekend is rolling over to the week already. I had to visit the college I should be transferring too but nothing went right. I couldn't schedule, couldn't get the ID that I paid for. Nothing worked out right. I emailed a woman that said she could help get me answers if I needed them and I haven't heard from her yet. Today, found out that our last cat was killed either last night or today.

I'm sorry you are having such troubles. Sometimes it helps just to vent it all out.

Thank you. Venting does help but I think I'm starting to annoy those that I am venting too. I am rather frustrated though and I can't do anything to change the mess, so it just continues to get more and more frustrating.

I too have a credit card, but seldom do I use it. From my experience I found out that these cc companies have no norms in claiming interests, late fee or other charges. Once defaulted in paying the monthly minimum they start to hazard us and threaten us. Still I keep the card paying annual service charges to face any unforeseen expenses. All the best to you on your venture to buy a new house. Thank you.

yup. that's what i hate about these companies, too. i mean, they already charge you interests for late payments and other "charges" which they often can't really explain to you what they're about in the first place. and there's this unreasonable annual fees. they earn a lot from people. and that's why i decided not to get one... anne

Thanks !! I wish i didn't have to get one, but as I said, I had to build more credit. WHich I do not use the card but once a month for something trivial, to turn around and pay off right away, just to build "credit" Just this time, they are deciding to hold payment up to 14 days... and it's not even late !!

oh dear, poor thing! I hope things are better tomorrow. After all, such is life. One day may be great, another day maybe horrible. Think "this too will pass" sometimes it helps. For the really serious situations, sometimes this saying doesn't help. But for your case, hopefully it does! Credit card companies are sharks. best to only get them if you're confident of paying in full on time everytime. Then it just becomes a case of extra credit for a short while whilst your money earns interest in the bank.

Thanks, I did pay in full !! That's my point why Iam so angry with them. I do not need the money on the card, I just want them to post the payment. It's like they want to hold it, just so they can say it's late or something. I pay it all in full every month, so they aren't making enough money from me, so now this is a new one they are trying....

I just checked the bank, and the payment CLEARED my bank, yet has not posted to my credit card acccount, how funny is that?

you should really call them up and give them a earful. This is NOT what should be happening to your payment. Sometimes some weird part of me delights in giving grief to credit card companies when there are service lapses on their part.

isn't it annoying when at first, you are so happy and feeling great and in just a matter of minutes, those happiness are gone with sudden change of events? and i hate those times. i don't wanna say CHEER UP AND EVERYTHING WILL BE OKEY. that's an old line which most people use when they can't say anything at all. and i admit, i am like that, too most of the time. but as for now, i will just hope that things will be okey for you in days to come. so, don't tear off those hairs or else, you'll look ugly and thus, will add up to your problems. there are times when i really feel bad about things. i try to punch the wall and ouch! my fingers suffer a lot. so, don't try hurting yourself. it's not satisfying at all... anne

Wow...can I relate. We decided to get a dog from the pound on the weekend. Well this morning my boyfriend went to work..my son to school. We also have a cat. I was ready to tear my hair out. I discovered the dog went number two in my son's room...then he went number one in our room. Then the cat kept trying to eat his food and they keep at each other like they are going to fight. The dog had no training...and so it doesn't listen...It doesn't seem to go when you take it out.....it has been a hellish monday morning....I am ready to send it back to the pound!

There are days when I too felt as if ticked off. But life is like that. Or say if all days go the same line, sometimes it may be monotonous. lol. After all, a coin has two sides.

Oh, I know. You must take the good with the bad. I know, I just don't like it sometimes. I have also been under the weather, so I don't think that is helping much.

Make this your mantra...this too shall pass, this too shall pass, this too shall pass. I feel your pain sister. As I sit here at my desk at the hospital where I'm the evening receptionist. I look out the window here in my small corner of the world and I notice that the sun is shining brightly. There is a breeze that causes the leaves on the trees to sway gently. And I think, the wonders of nature. All is fair with the world.

I did get some sleep. I have not been feeling well, so I think that just added to my overall stress level. Thanks for sharing the mantra, I do know all will be right with the world !!

You poor soul, I don't know how you handle it. I know if I don't get at least 5 hours of sleep in a 24 hour period I'm a basket case. I would also fire that credit card company, there are much better companies out there (like Discover card for example). Anyway...to try to cheer you up here is a quote that makes me smile from Mother Theresa... "I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish He didn't trust me so much."

yea i m having a ticked off day today, i bought these vintage TD sunglasses, and when they arrived at my house, they looked really messed up. the seller told me that it looked almost new, and that there were only minor scratches. she was WRONGGG, theree was green things growing out of it!! and rust and gross stains on the velvet, thast why im selling them to someone else. (she told me to do that cause she doenst offer a refund since it costs fees, making it a loss for me and her)

I am sorry you had a bad experience. Unfortunately, you with your seller, I with the credit company, sometimes people aren't quite as honest as you would want.

Awww Mish I'm so sorry to hear about your bad day. That sounds a little bit strange about the c/c company. if I were you this is what I would do. I would pay it off. Then I would call and close the account. When they ask why tell them. They beg you to stay trust me. Those poopy heads. You can always get another card they are a dime a dozen!
