Do you believe in FATE?

Do you think that there is a pre-determined fate already written for us? I tend to think that there is not one. Things just happen, a random bunch of things happening at the same time and that make the world the way it is nowadays. But i know that many people disagree with me and think that there is a fate and a mission for all of us in this life. What are your thoughts about it?

I don't think thats the case. I've always believed that we make our own destinies but sometimes things seem to fall into place so well that you can't help wonder if it was meant to be. I think if everyone believed in fate we would have a lot more problems in the world. Whatever happened would be blamed on fate, much like many American's view on climate change. People would get lazy and fail to question things, society would collapse.. it wouldn't be great lol.

well, in fact millions of people believe in fate: like those who say that no matter how bad a situation is, it is because God wants it. Or the muslims that say that their terrorist acts are due to allah's plan to cleanse the world through holy war etc. Sad but true.
