How often do you change cellphones?

Here in our country cellphones are like clothes, they change phones often. I used to change phones every year, but then as i get older I guess Im more matured and more practical now. I find it a waste of money to keep on buying new models of phones, because after a few months it would depreciate. Is cellphone important to you? Do you always buy new phones?

AT least once a year. I didn't plan to have it this way though. It just happened. It began when I had to change it bec. the phone I had wasn't GSM yet and it's obsolete. Then my phone got broken, next it got stolen, then i got a free cellphone from the local carrier. So, I just noticed that I have changed cellphones for at least once a year.

you must be referring to our country, the philippines, dons626, where almost everybody owns a cellphone, including the lowly paid individuals and children or kids at that. i am greatly amazed that they too have the latest models of cellphones with cameras. they are even luckier than i am because i have only nokia 3210, an old model at hand right now. personally, i do not mind using an old model as long as i can send text messages and receive calls from anyone. i don't see it very practical buying a new cellphone because i can still use the old one. perhaps when the day comes my nokia 3210 ceases to function that would be the only time i would replace it.

I do not see any reason to change cell phone set frequently because functions of all cell phone is same except those have modem inside. I bound to buy 2 cell phone in 2006 and 2007 because cell phone drop from my hand or pocket then it become disorder so I bound to buy 2 new cell phone set within 2 years. My present one is NOKIA1600 for general call and another is NOKIA6300 for internet use.

My husband gets the free upgrades when he's eligible for them. I usually get one too, however he usually needs a new phone by the time the free ones available. He works in pest control and with the work he does, sometimes they get knocked around or dropped (a lot more than mine does). He's wanted to but new phone when they come out, I always talk him out of it, telling him to wait, that phone will be a lot cheaper if you just wait for the new to wear off, then he decides he likes the free one just fine. My daughter used to want a new phone every month, I wouldn't buy it for her, so she started buying her own, once she started college and had to use her own money more, she decided to wait for the free upgrades unless she breaks one.

I admit i cant live without a cell phone, it helps me a lot and since my hubby is working abroad it is really my necessity. before i used to change my phone every year and especially when my hubby arrives he will buy me the latest model. last month ago i bought a new phone not that expensive and i keep my old phone, i cannot sell it because it was given by my hubby. maybe when he arrive i dont want to change my phone anymore since its very impractical, for me as long as i can text and call its okay with me now... the most important thing is that you can communicate to the person you want to talk to.
