Hi all, it may seem a little weird for a man to discuss menstrual pains, but there is a reason...
My wife woke me this morning to ask me to take the children to school. I asked if she was ok? She replied no, she had terrible pains in her groin due to starting her menstrual the night previous.
We have had a relationship for over 7 years and I have been by her side during every period giving her support and wishing it away. It hurts to see a loved one in pain especially one that returns on a regualr basis.
I know it is natural and women suffer together but no 2 womens experiences are the same.
Are there any tips out there to help my wife manage the pain?

I have rarely had menstrual pains so bad that it affected accomplishing my daily work and chores. One thing that helps me is hot pads or water bottles. They even make a disposable type that is designed to be hidden under a womans clothes.
One thing I've heard is that caffeine makes cramps worse. And since my two friends that complain the most about menstrual cramps drink soda and tea all day long, I'm inclined to believe it.

it may sound off cause for the most part the cramping pain is in the abdomin..but it always seems to help me if i put the heating pad under the small of my back.

Im blank on this one andy I had the same problem with my second girlfriend, for two week each month she would lock herself in her room when she had her periods (She would come to school then hide in her room when she comes home) But I think it will lessen with age. for now try to give her aspirin or safe pain relievers, a natural pain reliever that my mom used to use when she still had her periods was willow bark and she made it into a tea....try to give it to your wife on these days.
