How do you feel when vacations are over?

I feel the same thing even now as I used to feel when I was in my primary school. I would prey GOD to make our school a swimming pool so that there would be no classes. Our schools would reopen during monsoon and we would go drenching in rains. Sometimes we were so frustrated that we even thought why the school building doesn't get blown up my some missile or a bomb. Pretty funny though, but this is what I felt then. Now its not upto such a degree but yes I sure get bored to get started. What were your feelings when returning from a long vacation? Share your views.

I would definitely be bored by the daily routine again. Having a vacation means I eat when I actually feel hungry, I sleep when I feel sleepy and I could do loads of interesting things. I usually get pretty depressed on the last day of the vacation and thinking about "oh tomorrow, what a boring day!". But in my brain, I know I have to start to work diligently and face the challenges at work again. So I guess I never feel very happy to be stuck at work knowing perfectly well that I could be wild and free somewhere in the world. Well, I guess all I can say is if I have enough money to sustain my life, I would be on vacation forever.

Oh I think it would be great if work life can have summer holidays too! We work so much harder than we study and we really deserve a long break. I just miss school so much because it still offers a lot of freedom but when we work, we feel an overwhelming sense of responsibilities which really tires us out! If they give us longer breaks, then I won't feel so bad having to work! Enjoy your school life buddy! And thanks for the best response!

Our thoughts syncronise on many instances. What a lovely idea to have summer holidays even at work!!!!
This idea must be given a serious thought. The employees might increase their efficiency at work and may bring much profit to the organisation. What do you think...should it be thought about seriously or just left as a funny topic?

It sure is depressing on the last day of the vacations to get back to the work and the usual routine. I am still in college and I am very happy when the exams are nearing. I am very excited to finish the exams whereas my friends are quite nervous. I think about the vacations which will follow the exams. Why not apply the same thing to our work life. What do you think?

"Back to reality". That's what my mind always tells me after a long vacation.

oh right. The reality is school, studying, toiling and boiling to get good grades/ marks in the examinations. But what about the things you did in vacations? Are they dreams? Didn't you do them for real? Well, don't mind my words. I was just joking. Anyways, thanks for responding.

Hehehe come on, you know what I mean. What I mean is that after vacation time, here comes the ovetimes at work, the deadlines to beat and the problems left unsolved before vacation are now here and ready to be faced again.
Hehehe you just want me to post again do you...hehehe

Nothing of that sort. I was just kidding. Thanks for making it clear that you are not a school going kid and have many many responsibilities and commitments which are left undone while you are on vacations.

I normally feel that i wish it lasted a couple of weeks more LOL. Some people even get really depressed about it and need help. but well i've also experienced the typical crappy holiday from which you're looking forward to forget and get back to normal routine as soon as possible. But in general it is a pity that it's over.

Yeah, the whole fun is lost when we realize that the next day the whole routine is going to get started again. Thank you for responding.

Yeah, we change as the time flies by. During our school days we were more inclined towards playing at homes than meeting friends at the school. But now its different. But I haven't changed yet. I don't sit playing at home but surely will never be in a hurry to go back to college.

LOL. I loved school so I was always glad to get back to it. Not jumping for joy glad but I was usually bored of summer by then. I always got excited to go and get my school supplies, I still do get excited when I go into that section of the store. I know I am strange! LOL I wanted to be a teacher as a kid and grew up to be a teachers assisstant for a while.

You are not strange. Its pretty natural to be exited to get new books, uniform and other such accessories. I think the excitement to get back to school is not to attend the classes but to show our friends the new things bought for this year, right? There is excitement even to know what all new things our friends have bought. Later, we get used to the daily routine of going to school.

Hello bkneerajrk. I love both my summer vacation and winter vacation. It seems that the vacations are always not long enough on my side. I don't like it when the vacation is gone so soon and then it is time to go to back to school. I feel so relaxed when it is vacation and feel so stressed when work starts. Sometimes I would think that it would be so nice if I were a millionaire without having to work that hard. lol

Same here. But now I am out of school and college life. Now there is no such thing as vacations. I am into the work life now. Now I feel very nostalgic about those years spent in school and college.
