I know I should of known better. It said after I paid for the first fee I would be redirected to another page where I would have to pay a 4 dollar fee. It never redirected me so this site first got my 8 bux. :(
It was a site similar to one of those snail mail letters where you send the first person on the list a few dollars then cross their name off and then you will get money in return. I can't believe I was so gullible! Has any one else ever did something that was against their own judge ment but did it anyway? I guess I tried to convince my self that is was like gambling and I was going to either win or lose...and if I won (with it) then it would pay off. I am really bumming right now.

Oh, sorry to hear you lost the $8, I can't think off hand when it was but some time back I did spend money on something and never saw any results from it or the money. That's one reason I rarely if ever pay for upgrades or anything at all that I have to pay for...
Just a couple months ago I lost $50 on a 'home assembly' scam in my book. Supposidly the money was for processing and to cover the supplies but before you could actually start 'assembly' your first item had to pass inspection... I've been rejected 3 times now and have decided not to try again - my last two were absolutly perfect in every way to their specifications.

I did the same thing a few months back with a home assembly kit (making magnets) I thought that mine came out better than theirs and they rejected it! LOL! I didn't even bother trying again because the paper pattern they sent me was exactly what I followed but the paper pattern was different from their sample! Go figure! I think I will try to get my money back from the paypal today. Thanks faith!

Oh wow sounds like the same thing only mine was for pins - my sample looked way better than the example they sent and mine was exactly to the instructions - measured every single thing and all. Tried to contact them to get money back and they said I could send the supplies back but they would charge 25% off even though they weren't touched.
Hate to admit it but I actually said 'screw that' I'll keep the supplies and make mine own and sell the pins cheaper than they are and better quality - also going to expand and do magnets and tree ornaments.

I never sign up for a site that costs anything, or asks for an address and phone number. I just don't feel secure enough over the internet to give away money or that much personal information. I'm sorry you got scammed though! This is one of those cases you can learn from your mistake, right? :)

No actually I found out by this discussion that I could dispute it and I did and my money was credited back by them this morning! So maybe they weren't a scam after all but I still didn't want to take that chance. That's almost one months pay from mylot!

I'm sorry that you had this problem with a site. I try to make it a point not to pay money to as site unless it is one that I know is a good site. Like www.gaiaonline.com for donations you get little gifts for your avatar so on and so forth but I check out the sites very carefully and make sure that I am with them a little while before I donate to see how others who have donated react. As for paying for a site...unless i knew exactly what the site was I wouldn't have touched it....I hate scam artists...they need to be shot!

There are a lot of scam sites out there like the one you signed up for. It is possible that there is an error in theior script & it was accidental. Do they have a contact link? If yes, email them.
If not, it was definitely a scam.
The internet abounds with them.

Good morning, I believe that these sights are there to scam people just like us that are trying to make a bit of money. and there for susceptible to these scams. I personally can not afford to even loose the $8 and I feel for you.I did get on to a site that is a secret shopping service recommended by a friend in mylot and I am able to make some money that way. It is not difficult, but you have to have a fair amount of time and be willing to do a bit of traveling. but they are honest and do pay every month, and did not ask me for one cent. That is how you know they are legitimate. If you are interested let me know and I will pass the info on. Regards Robin

Hello, sjohnson, sorry to hear that about your money loss, luckily 8 dollars is not that much.
For me,i will never join any sites which ask me to pay any joining fees,i think if the sites are good, they will not need to ask people for the upfront fees.It is like gambling,it is not good to give out something and may not get anything back at all.
Good luck.
