In India lot people are vegetarians(vegans) who in their life
time have never eaten meat or meat products, some them practice
as a part of their religion, while for some others consider
it as a part of their lifestyle.
In India even regular meat-eaters stay away from eating meat
for a few days due to religious reason.
I have never come accross any other country where people are
vegetatians(vegans) and where vegetarianism is a part of life
or part of religion.
Can any body please tell me about any other country that has
vegetarian(vegan) people.
I REALLY FEEL PROUD TO BE A VEGETARIAN

yes,buddy I don't have against meat-eaters,after all it
is the personnal choice, but what I feel and I believe that
we can leave the animals to their fate,we can lead a better
life without torturing, killing and eating thier meat.
Now a days vegetarianism is a popular way of life,I do know
that if you take a world wide count of Vegans and meat eaters, meat eaters will outnumber vegas by few millions.
But whatever proteins,carbohydrates,vitamins required for
the our body can be found in vegetables and cereals. It is
not all necessary that the vegetarians are weaklings

yes, surprising all these days I was thinking that in Africa nobody is a vegan.
But are these vegans immigrants from India or South-East who have settled in Africa ?

I am a vegan and live in the UK. We are a small minority less than 1% of the population of this country are vegans, but it is a diet that is catered for more and more due to a lot of people now becomeing lactose intolerant.
I think it is a really healthy diet and also feels so good to know I'm not being cruel to animals

Many people in UK,US,and other countries are following the vegetarian and vegan diets.these are popular among those who are allergic to many substances in food. Some people who are nature loving and care for animals also follow a vegetarian diet. But it is not associated with any relilgion like in India.thousands of people have made vegetarianism and veganism part of and way of their lives. Many people turn vegetarian and vegan, having been either dissatisfied with the non vegetarian food they eat,or having developed a new ideology that says for instance that killing of animals for food is not justified.

There are vegetarians in other countries. Some are vegetarians for religious reasons, some for health reasons, and others because that is the lifestyle that they want to have. In the Philippines, I have tried several vegan restaurants that they have and they're really good. I'm not a vegetarian but I do enjoy trying different kinds of food. Here in the US, I have tried several vegan dishes at Chinese and other Asian restaurants. I'm just a food adventurist, what can I say?
