Don't do it! No really, don't go down that road.
Reason?
You work hard on your website and in a few years it becomes really popular. You want to sell it but you can't because you don't own it. The company who 'gave it to you free' owns it still. You have been working your little butt off for them all these years.
Scenario 2. You got a free domain name from your hosting company. Your site gets bigger and better but your host isn't up to the job and you would like to move hosts or have a dedicated server. You can't move because you don't own the name.
A .co.uk domain name costs you £5 a year and you can get it hosted for $2 a month. Check the links to Easily and Cirtex on this page - http://www.simetric.co.uk/earn_money/money.htm
You can earn enough here on myLot in a couple of months to pay for your domain and hosting for a year. Easy.

No, they don't do hire purchase on £5 items. You get it when you pay.
Whoever you buy it from, make sure you own it. In other words, whenever you do a 'who is' on your domain name, YOU are shown as the owner and not the company who sold it to you.

Hi, I uses www.names.co.uk to register my domains, they are free as long as you use their server, which ranges from about £7 to £9 per month. Hope that helps.

I didn't even know that was even offered in the 1st place with a .com or a co.uk. That's actually interesting. You can go with godaddy.com as recommended. I got my own domain and its pretty cheap. The prices are going to be hard to beat.
