Reactions to Glucophage/Metformin

Do you take Glucophage or the generic form, Metformin? If so, what have your reactions been? It took this medication about 3 years ago and it made me terribly nauseous. I stopped taking it for about 2 years. I started taking it again in January. At first it didn't bother me, but now it is giving me a very upset stomach. I am hoping it will calm down again soon.
