I can honestly say I doubt I would of been.
It's not really important from my eyes, although when I was at senior school I did get a shot at becoming something of myself but that didn't quite work out to plan.
You know what? I'm not really bothered I missed out on that chance. I was as good as people thought away, because secretly I was very nervous. Of course my girl friend at the time didn't quite see it as I did, in her eyes after I couldn't continue down that route she stopped talking to me and went into secret hiding. (lol)
Wanna know something again? I'm not bothered about that either. Nothing quite feels the same as I do, knowing that those chances wouldn't of even made me as happy as I am being a father of a lovely baby boy and beautiful wife. I know there's a lesson in here for someone, sometimes I think we should always look to the future. :)

P.s Football used to be my life but now that's been replaced with a stronger meaning. Happy mylotting!

hahaha cool!
When I was in high school i was famous. I was the singer, dancer, and an athlete so a lot of people knew me.
there was a time that i received letters from friends saying hi and hello, regards and let me sign an autograph. It's cool to remember those stuffs.

At school I was pretty much normal, not a geek (nothing wrong with that) but I wasn't popular at all although at times those who was accept me even for a few minutes.
I can't sing, nor dance but athlete is something I can tick. (used to be very sporty) which meant alot of running and generally keeping fit. Hehe! that's actually cool, I never received letter like that but I did very strange things for my school. (such as attend a visit to a local sports club giving three year olds talk about taking certain sports up)
Kudos!

P.s Yeah it, I often think back but it's never a regret it's more of wow.. "I'm glad didn't work" cya

and as always, you never fail to think of nice discussions.
and it's good to know that someone is really happy for who he is and where he is now. good that you know how to be contented by having a good family and being thankful for that. most people don't.
anyway, my whole student life, i had been this famous girl. from being a choir member since i was in gradeschool to being a majorette to winning lots of contests in spelling bees. hmm.. let's see, being an honor student all the time. winning awards in writing. being ms. intrams in our senior high in highschool and being ms. pharmacy in my college life. hmm... being a good dancer and being able to sing.. etc.
yup. i had been famous... but only in school. actually, i did modelling in local shows, too. but only until sometime in 2002. then, i decided to stop that kind of career. hehe.
i did love being famous and i did not love it sometimes, too. i hate people always looking at my works, judging me... you know what i am talking about.
and now, i am glad that i am just like any ordinary person. happy with life and happy with love. better than being popular. ... anne

If you said that when I nearly had that shot I probably would of thought you was crazy ;) (no offence)
There's a good thing knowing we can be happy without having it all. I wouldn't of been able to handle that pressure anyway, perfect example would be when I go into a shopping centre. (not a fan of large crowds) those darn eyes are watching!! lol
That's very cool maryanne! My attention court others who was jealous and although I liked the thought of that I ended up hating. So be that talented would of sure been cool (I can't sing, well I can but very badly!!)
Yeah I know. I was labelled big headed (which was very annoying) and your right about ordinary, there's something special of knowing who we are.
Thanks for the valuable response!

hehehe.. i had my shots to fame. but i dropped them. i know for sure that if i go further from the point i stopped, i won't be able to handle the pressure anymore. i am not such a healthy person considering i have eschemia. and too many modelling shows each week slowly made me feel more sick.
so, it was a wise decision as i see it. i'd rather stay healthy than hear people's applause and appreciation.
there are still some who do look at me up to now and i appreciate it.. i am not ugly after all! hehe.
but i'd still love the life i chose now. it's not complicated. plus, i don't need to go from one place to another... travel a lot just to attend modelling shoots and shows.
fame is good... for others... i had been there... "almost" famous. but i'd rather take the back seat.... anne

I was not and am not famous. I am only famous to my family and few close friends. I was not good at studies. I was not good at sports. But i appreciate people who are talented. I listen to the music of famous and i attend to theatre.

Seriously Joey, I can't see the point of why being famous is important to other people.
Take the instance of celebrities. Sure...they're famous but if you look at them closely, they are still an ordinary human beings only packed in diamonds and glitters.
I choose to reach my goals without sizzling in the spotlight. I rather stay behind the camera or curtain.

The only time I've been popular was when I switched junior schools (just before senior school)
I didn't quite mind that because it's we're I first got picked for a team, normally they said I was to small or I had to be in year six to play but I got straight in. :P
That's great to here, I wouldn't go back to my school days but they wasn't bad either and It's nice to know you was happy then. (hope you are now)
Cheers!

No, I've never been almost famous. The closest I have come to fame is that I worked for Donald Trump's father years ago. Donald was his apprentice at that time and little did anyone know that he would become as famous as he did. He was tall, think and good looking with normal looking hair at the time. Now he looks more and more like his dad every day.

I do not think the life of fame is for me at all. I am the kind of a person who like to keep my life to myself and not share it with alot of people. It would be very hard for me to be famous because I like to have my privacy and you won't have that when you get to be big and famous.

I haven't really been famous. I was well known on my college campus, which was a pretty decent feat, since there wre 45,000 students there. I was president of several clubs and on the homecoming court at my university. That was fun. I got to be in a parade, in the local and school paper, etc.
But I was also on TV once. Well, it wasn't really me, it was my dog, but they interviewed me about her. She actually ended up on 2 TV episodes, 2 telethons and 2 different fuindraising events for the humane society. I always got to tag along with her, it was fun!!

I am not sure if it would have actually made me famous but I almost got a place in the England U18 netball team. I twisted my ankle the week before the final trials so was not at my best. I am pretty sure I would not have got a place anyway and it is quite good saying I got as far as having trials. Yet I sometimes wonder 'what if'. I was quite shy and think it would have made me worse had I got a place. My life turned out great anyway.
It would be great to take a look at the 'alternative reality' where I did make the team and see how it would have panned out!

No I haven't. The closest I came was I once was asked some question by a TV news crew on the street for a story they were doing. They never showed me in the article though :(
