I just ended the school year. I wish I could say that this past year was a great success but I can't. I CAN say that I have learned a tremendous deal this year about planning and such!!
So anyway I can't believe I am doing this - I am using my new knowledge and am starting to plan next year's school schedule already!!! (we dont start until September)
Anyone else do something like this so far in advance? (anything it doesn't have to be homeschooling)
Any other homeschoolers planning next year already? If so when do you start school?

I kind of answered this question in another post of yours, but here is the boiled down version.
We do not take a big break in the summer; instead we keep a 5 weeks on, 1 week off schedule. We take an extra week at Christmas, Easter, and the beginning of summer. This leaves a week for miscellaneous days off throughout the year----sick days, one day holidays, etc.

That's a good way of doing things. I know others that do something similar.
My kids came out of public school; so they have friends from then still. I try to allow them to spend time with those friends.
