Just recently i was amazed and the same time happy seing my child kneeling down infront of the altar when i asked him to pray. He used to get the idea of kneeling down with my sister's child a 2 year old baby girl during their playtime when they watch the 3:00 o'clock prayer on television. So, from now on everytime i would say baby let's pray he will went to the altar and utter words 'Jsus from word Jesus and also instruct me to kneel down also. So innocent but happy to know at an early age he has this prayer skills. I want to teach him to be a GOD fearing person in the future so glad to know at an early age he was able to recognized it.

I do that with my little one too. I've been praying with him ever since he was born. We would pray before meals, when we wake up and before we go to bed. He's two now and when I say "it's time to pray", he will put his hands together and starts to babble! It's SO cute!! I know he's doing it more now out of imitation. But I've always believed in starting them young. This will help to cultivate a praying spirit in him. My prayer is also for him to grow up to be a God fearing person.

Thanks for your post hotmama..really is was so cute...During sundays also i tried to bring him on a church mass. Here we do commute and travelled for about 4 kilometers to attend mass. It was a great feeling and as if myself is at peace when I give a time to attend mass. Though there are times i cant be able to make it, i feel pity of myself and as if something is lacking because i failed to attend that sunday mass. Hope you could have a car soon so that you could attend the sunday mass.Have a blessed day.

I think is wonderful that you are teaching your child to pray at such an early age. To teach them that God plays an important role in his life is very important.

My 3 year old son kneels and prays frequently throughout the day. One day he was supposed to be having a time out. I was busy with my daughter and found him, not in time out, but kneeling before his little crucifix saying, Dear Lord, Thank you for mommy, daddy, and sister. Amen. It was so cute and he never did finish his time out:) He also lays flat on the ground like a priest when he is ordained, and "consecrates" his food. He lifts his bowl and glass and tries to say, "through Him, with Him, in Him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit". My daughter imitates him. It's very innocent. I hope he never loses that.
