What is your favorite vacation spot?

Where was your favorite vacation spot as a kid, you know when your parents took you? And where is your favorite vacation spot as an adult? Did you ever like a vacation spot so much that you said that you were going to take your kids there when you had some and did you stick to that vow?

My favorite vacation spot as a child and still as an adult is our family cottage in the north woods of Wisconsin. I love it there. The scenery is beautiful and the air is clean. I've taken many of my friends there as an adult. I've also taken my nephews there. It's a place most everyone in the family loves and wishes to return to time after time. The most amazing things is that the cottage is old and rundown, it doesn't have running water and no one seems to really mind (well, maybe in the middle of the night when heading out to the outhouse).

That sounds really fun, except for the outhouse part. I love hiking and camping out in the woods, but when it comes to using the restroom I can't handle mother nature, outhouses are gross and freak me out. I definitley need a real bathroom. Thanks for sharing!!

I love to go to maine on the weekends with my family because we own a penthouse there and its great because its right on the beach wich makes it nice its relaxing up there and thats the only time I can spend with my causing whom I love to spend time with but I only get to see them when I go to maine during the summer and thats what I look forward to the most.

I vowed to take my kids to disneyland because I didnt get to do anything like that when I was a kid. I have also taken one grandchild so far. I didn't really have a vacation spot as a child but I did like to camp so I did want to make sure my children had that experience; and I did. As an adult I am still trying to find my favorite vacation spot and I am having fun doing it.
