Hi Top Chef fans! Does anyone have any idea as to how Padma's arm was injured? Every time I see the scar, I wonder about it, and always forget to do a Google search regarding it. I just thought about it as I was reading discussions regarding the the show. It appears as if she was in a car accident, or something else similarly traumatic. If you have any information, I would greatly appreciate it!

The scar is on her left arm as she is facing the television audience; obviously, then, it is actually her right arm. It's very long, and runs from the middle section of her upper arm down to the area just above her elbow. I haven't seen it in any photographs of her, and wonder if it is often air-brushed out of photos. Last season, it became very apparent to me as she had a some sort of glossy ointment over it. It appears as if there was major stitching involved.

Hi again! I just located pictures and an article detailing how Padma got the scar on her arm. The article is very interesting, and I actually appreciate her more now that I understand her history. She actually got the scar when she was fourteen-years-old! I have enclosed links, and I hope that my attempts to add a couple of pictures will be successful! If you are interested in seeing the above, here are the links:

I never noticed the scar you mentioned, but I read the article you enclosed on one of your responses. That is incredible! Scars are such a no-no when it comes to modeling, fashion, or anything in the beauty industry, but it is nice to see someone be who they are without them feeling like they need to try to force a facade.
