Scar on Padma's Arm?

Hi Top Chef fans! Does anyone have any idea as to how Padma's arm was injured? Every time I see the scar, I wonder about it, and always forget to do a Google search regarding it. I just thought about it as I was reading...

edifingaz that story might be a lil fishy...if she has had that scar since she was lil why oh why did she have staples in her arm the first season of the show.....she should pack her knives and leave
