Do you believe that you must believe in the "right" religion to be saved?

Or do you believe that if you didn't know the "right" God you would be considered an innocent, one of those that the bible says will be saved because they knew no other way?

Nope. In the bible god says that anyone who shall call on him to find their salvation he shall help them So aslong as you believe in god and ask then no certain religion is the right one.

In that case there would still be "wrong" religions though, any religion that didn't believe in that deity. And while you might not have to follow the whole religion, if you asked the Christian God for salvation, wouldn't that essentially make you Christian?

lecanis There is really is more to being a true Christian. For the Christian God is a jealous God. He says that. Exodus 34:14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: He also says in Luke 16:13 and Matt 6:24 6:24 "No one can serve two masters; for a slave will either hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth. Matthew 12:25But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. I hope this explaines thigs better.

I know I'm simplifying, deebomb! I wasn't unaware of that fact. But in general one who follows the deities of a specific religion would usually be considered to be of that religion, whether they actively followed each and every rule or not (though they might be seen as a "bad Christian" I suppose). Moreover, the early usage of the word Christian, as in Acts in the Bible, simply meant "disciples of Christ". That's where I was taking my meaning here, forgive me if I'm wrong!

yes I do believe this for it is written (Jn.14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. ) and because to be saved means to live with God if he is the only way then belief in him is also the only way

Religion doesn't save anyone. You are saved by Jesus Christ through faith. You don't have to belong to any religion to know God. I think the term "religion" is tossed out there too loosely. Religion is a culmination of the things you believe in and there are many out there. However, there is only one God and repenting to Him is the way to salvation.

I believe that to be saved, you must seek the true religion of God because many are deceived by the most powerful church in the world. The bible is a complete book about his church and everyone is free to study it.I don't believe in your 2nd question, but i believe if youre a good man and the bible dont reach you or you know nothing about the bible you will be saved because god is justice.Like me until today i'm searching the religion of the apostles because i believe that none of the existing christian religion is the true religion of God or Jesus.

obviously I beleive mine is the "right" religion, or I wouldn't be beleiving it, but my religion treats us all the same. in the big scheme of things, we all go the same way when we die. if there is any judgement it will be on who you are as a person, not what Gods you beleive in.
