Do you know someone who never seems to be able to stay "normal" for very long? They are in frequent conflicts with neighbors, teachers, family members and even complete strangers? It's possible it's not their fault. Both high and low blood sugar levels can result in erratic, even aggressive bahavior. If you'd like to learn more about this, visit sites that offer detailed lists of symptoms of diabetes and hypoglycemia.

I would have to agree with part of this. I am hypoglycemic and am now borderline diabetic. And I can be the first to say, that if I go too long without eating, watch out!!! I am extremely cranky!!! Even my partner knows that when I get to that point, he just needs to hand over the food and back away slowly. No quick motions or sounds and all is well. ha ha No, seriously, if it gets to that point, I am always apologizing after I have eaten because I know I was in the wrong. However! I do not go around picking fights with strangers, teachers, or neighbors. I would never do such a thing and I would think that others would not use that they are hungry as an excuse to go off on people that wouldn't have a clue. Those people need to learn to just walk away when you get to that point and to just get over it and eat a Snickers already. Sorry...but like I said, I really do suffer from this and can agree with the anger part...but I know there are limits.

Many people don't realize they have it, and until they do probably wouldn't think to eat candy when they're in a bad mood.

candy yes when you are low but no snickers bars or anything with chocolate as the fat in the chocolate will slow down the digestion and not raise the blood glucose level fast enough. life savers, jelly beans, gum drops or best glucose tablets made specially for the lows even a plain glass of lofat or no fat milk will work. But no chocolate bars sorry

Well, stress is a biggie in diabetes I think. Stress causes ups and downs of blood sugar like no other. Relieve stress and try to avoid it as much as you can. Also exercise is always good for a diabetic since exercise makes you more sensitive to insulin.

stress just plain shoots my blood sugar up sky high also almost any kind of illness will send my blood glucose level way up.However some stomach flu viruses that cause diarrhea will send your blood glucose way down so do check.

yes indeed low blood sugar can make you act like you are going bananas because your poor brain is yelling feed me feed me and no glucose is able to get to it. Ihave gotten a tad belligerant a few times when I hit a low of fifty but recognized at once whatwas wrong.checked my blood glucose and took fifteen grms of carbs at once then waited fifteen minutes and checked again was still low so took another fifteen gramss of fast acting gloucose and waited another fifteen minutes.was one hundred so ate a snack asit was a long time to my next meal.when I am too high I do not get aggressive but get dizzy. light headed andfeel as if I might just pass out.
