I've always been brought up around watching older movies and In many aspect I see what people around those times saw in them.
Actors and Actresses was very different in most of them but still very talented. (probably even more so than now)
Do you ever re-watch older movies? classic you've grown to love and watch?..
Please do share your thoughts.

Hey That's great to hear!
I watched a couple earlier today one British and another American. It's sad how the decline of brit films have happened and that's a great loss to us.
It's nice to see others enjoy them too. Thanks for your response :)

I like how then there was a large mix of genres and types compared to day they only do what is popular back then most things caught attention and made profit.

Yes, I do all the time and especially the ones that we already own. I would watch those alot more than renting a movie that I have see before.

I watch many movies from the 1940's through the 1980's. Many of the movies I like from this period are westerns. I like many of the older actors who I think were more talented than many of today's. With many movies today, actors get lost behind special effects and many films are based on old ideas or offspring of older movies. There are some movies I never get tired of watching. And there are some actors/actresses I never get tired of seeing. I think few of today's players will have 30 or 40 or 50 year careers like many previous performers. I can watch movies in black and white also. But I have to admit, this period had its share of "B" type movies that never should have been made. But some movies from this period are sure classics that will never be replaced or duplicated.

I was brought up on and love dearly all the old Carry On Films! I have watched them umpteen times and I never get fed up with the humour and double entendres! Sadly most of the actors and actresses have passed away. They certainly don't make em like that any more, oooooo matron perlllllllllease. My three best Carry On films are:
Carry on at Your Convenience
Carry on Loving
Carry on Girls

Oh, yes, I love classical old movies. They are very, very different but still they appeal to my interest. Some of the old ones that I love are Sound of Music, Gone with the Wind, The Notebook, Bugsy Malone, My Fair Lady, To Sir with Love, Annie, Schindler's List, and some more. If you notice most of them are musicals. I really have a passion for musical movies.

I love watching the old classic movies. Everything from Jimmy Stewart to James Dean to James Bond, John Wayne, Burt Lancaster, Audrey Hepburn, Lauren Bacall, Ingrid Bergman, on and on and on. My favorites though are the old Humphrey Bogart classics. As for comedy, you can't beat the Marx Brothers. (I shot an elephant in my pajamas the other morning. What he was doing in my pajamas I'll never know.) My favorite cable channel is Turner Classic Movies.

I don't have cable, but while I did, that was one of the few channels I had it on and I surely miss having it. Working on making it a reality soon.

I was never brought up in a house where the classics were played, so I've never had an urge to watch movies like Gone With the Wind or Ben Hur. However, I once had a girlfriend who was in her late 20s and whose parents where in their mid 70s! Her parents would always play classic films on the tube and that's what she grew up watching. I think it made our relationship sour because she truly had an antebellum sense of romance. So if you ever meet someone who loves classic films or who watches Turner Classics... watch out!

Yes I do; I LOVE classic movies; truly. When I was younger I didn't,but the times were so much simpler. I have started a collection of movies that I love like both Imitations of Life(1934 and 1959); Casablanca(VHS and DVD); Laura(DVD); among others is a treat. I really want to get The Women and Now,Voyager. Both great movies in my opinion.
