Michael Moore has a new documentary coming our called Sicko. It's about the healthcare system (or lack of) in the United States. I can't wait to see this movie. I just saw him interview on the David Letterman show earlier this week. He was telling a story of a woman who took her infant to the emergency room with a temperature of 104 farenheit and was told to go to a different hospital because her hmo didn't cover that hospital. The hospital outright refused care to this infant and the infant died on the way to the other hospital. I just couldn't believe it when he was telling this story. I can't wait to see this movie and see the things he suggests in improving the healthcare system here.

As long as you watch with a grain of salt and a lot of questions. He is well known for slanting the truth and picking and choosing what he wants to portray. He's been proven to by a liar and I wouldn't trust anything he does.

Oh I don't take everything he has to say as truth at all. There were times during Farenheit 911 and Bowling for Columbine when I thought the guy was full of crap. But I do like seeing different peoples points of views on these issues.

As far as I've seen, all people should view documentaries with an open mind. There should be more "mockumentaries" like Borat. Something that opens people's minds, but in order to make them laugh. I laughed throughout that entire movie. P.S.: Dealing with HMOs is a horrible thing altogether. My grandparents have also been turned away from our city's greatest hospital because their coverage doesn't include that hospital.

Thanks for the reminder. I'll have to see his new movie. I don't agree with everything he says, but he does manage to uncover some truths.

I agree, I will also go see this movie when it comes out. This is a must see movie that I hope will show how we as American can't and don't get the best treated at our hosiptal's at which our tax dollars pay. Why is it that you can get better treatment if u where to go to a another's countries hospital. Did u hear about the woman who did in the hospitol room last week because no one there wanted to help her. It was in the news and how the husband called 911 and told him that his wife was in the emergency room caughuing up blood and the people behind the desk did nothing. They said that if the woman would have been seen she would have lived. Not only that the husband was arrested for a warrant that same day...how sad...that really makes u think....

Myself and my partner are very much looking forward to seeing this movie when it comes out. Michael Moore is one of the few people who actually take a stand and publicize their findings. Of course, people should take his stuff with a pinch of Salt, but he's giving HIS side of the story as HE sees it. It doesn't necessarily mean he's right any more than anyone else is. I personally applaud Michael for doing what he's done so far. I know by listening to my best friend after her experience in the States after she suffered a heart attack that the Health care system really isn't that good in places. I like the fact that Michael is trying to bring awareness to a part of life that we all should have the very best access to.

Unfortunately, the hospital was completely erroneous by not rendering health services as they cannot turn anyone away. Of course, the problem just becomes more cyclical because they woman sues the hospital and wins a huge settlement which only further burdens an already over-burdened healthcare system. From what I understand, Michael Moore took his own health into consideration after filming this documentary as he was afraid of what might happen to himself if he didn't lose some weight. He also said that some politicians who viewed a screening of the movie came over to him actually crying because they were so moved. Too bad the government has no money to put into fixing the problems.

I cannot wait to see this movie either. I know what it is like to be a victim of the healthcare system and when people see this film, they will truly see how awful the healthcare system can be.

Our healthcare sytem is terrible. Perhaps his doumentary will open some eyes and something will be done about it. There is definitely soemthing to be said about the British National Healthcare System.

I saw him on The David Letterman Show and thought it was terrible to know that people can't get help when they need it right away. The infant really made me angry that the hospital wouldn't help. He mentioned how people get better care in several other countries and live longer. Michael Moore has been one of the more interesting guests that have been on David's show lately. The movie should open many people's eyes in the United States, as think many people don't realize how bad the problem is now.
