I am a big Pedro Martinez fan and I hope he makes a fast recovery from the disabled list.

I like Jose Reyes and Carlos Beltran because they steal bases. David Wright is also starting to steal more so throw him in the mix too. Let's go Mets!

Paul Lo Duca is my favorite New York Met player. He is a little guy for baseball standards. And he is one of the few catchers in the MLB that can actually run quickly! I just think he is an overall asset. Just like David Wright, although Wright has more years left on his career than Lo Duca does.

I have two all time favorites but they don't play for the Mets anymore, Mike Piazza and Howard Johnson. Of the new Mets I like Shawn Green and Paul Lo Duca. They both used toplay for my other favorite team, The Dodgers. Paulie is a great catcher and it is fun to watch him catch. He can do what Mike could not, throw someone out at second base.And Green is such a beautiful hitter. I love to see his swing. And when he said he wouldn't play on the Sabbath I thought it was great. He reminded me of Sandy Koufax, a class act.

My favorite Met's player is Jose Reyes. He brings so many dimensions to his game. He scares opposing teams into making mistakes of offense. His package of speed and power bring so much excitement to the team. He can beat you offensively and defensively. His main asset is his speed. He possesses a strong arm so he can field so many balls that would ordinarilly be base hits. At the plate he can hit for power or average. Not to mention when he gets on base...a single almost means an automatic double. He's already thrown off a couple of pitchers this year into balking him home from third base. The complete player.
