Which do you think is better, Intel or AMD

My computer says Intel inside. It is seven years old and very sturdy. Now I am thinking about replacing it and naturally I am tempted to buy Intel again as I was so lucky with it. In the beginning AMD was not very sturdy, I heard this has changed. But I still do not want to make a mistake, processors have gotten much cheaper thanks to the AMD competition, so I think I can afford a good Intel processor.

I would say that at the present situation after the huge price cuts from both intel and AMD camps this year the entire processor market is going great and the winner is obviously the customers..... I think if a user is more budget oriented,then the AMD is processor is the best one for him as it has great motherboards for less prices and the integrated graphics is also better.... However if a user is performance oriented,then i would suggest the Core 2 Duo from Intel as it has higher performance and lower heat/power margins...... I were to choose between the two,currently i would choose a cheaper intel Core 2 Duo and overclock it to the extreme and then have the performance of a high end machine.....

Intel is the best in my opinion never keeps your hand on AMD you will find the compatibility issues and the processor is more buggy than intel application will curse on you if you have other than intel processor.

I think Intel is far more better than any other brand in the field whether its AMD or Asus. Besides these two there are many more like Mercury, Tomato.
