Where has everyone gone?

It seems like lately I need to focus on making new friends, but this is process I bet I'm going to have to repeat time and time again. (I Know)
I'm just wondering where has everyone gone? (all my friends) where are you?
I check my e-mail account every day there's hardly anything, used to getting 30+ daily and now it seems like only 5-10 people (if that). Yes I know, I've mentioned this in a similar discussion.
Although I'm hoping to see a few responses from my actual friends. (maybe an update where your all at) :)
Have you noticed people inside your discussions (regulars) who no longer come? Can't help but feel it's because I'm slightly old fashioned with the aspect of actually supporting people. (getting to know etc)
Oh well..
I've met some great people recently :)

I know exactly what you mean. It seems according to mylot standards I also have numerous friends but the past few days there have been many less emails of new discussions or comments to things I've replied to or started. I'm hoping everyone is just busy or because the topics have not been appealing to the greater masses just of late? You don't even see much of the usual bantering that goes on lately. I'm not sure what it is. Are we just all getting bored?

If I was the owners of mylot I would seriously start questions is the system working.
Or what can they do to reply that buzz, I'd to believe that it's down to the money or the fact people just don't see the point. (I need to get out) :)
Either your right or I'm just unpopular and rather boring because awhile back I used to get more responses and now I do much more. Nope, hardly any that I've noticed. Used to be a bit inside my discussions but it's normally one, one, one, two (if lucky) one, one..

We've been having pretty poor weather here.
It's raining virtually all the time and the other night we had a very bad thunder storm. (plus the rain came down fast than I ever seen it)
So not good. :)

Good question. It is like in that old song from 1965..."Everyone's Gone To The Moon"..lol. I doubt if you remeber it, but I think the guy was English. I can't recall his name. It seems like people are coming and going faster than ever. I think some people have gotten booted off for any number of reasons, and some are not as active or have found other sites to be on.

Hi Joey, you had responded to my latest thread and have a clear idea where I hopped off. Mylot seems to be getting eerily silent for the past couple of days. I'm not very much visible but I can sense an online shift in the ways and behaviors of the posters here. Must be a virus or something that's been spreading around. I hope mylot will be back to its usual cheerful and lively forum again.

I wouldn't like to be around when everyone else has gone and there's just newbies joining. (nothing against them) I'd just miss those who stood here before me :)
Probably seems daft but I am serious about friendship means alot to me.. :)

Everyone seemed to have disappeared. It is true. No one is replying to discussions anymore. I don't get many discussions coming in too.

I am still here my friend. I have not disappeared though I have not been online as much lately. Right now I am busy trying to find ways to reduce my bills at home since I bought a new car. I may also have to consider getting a part time job in the evening to help with expenses. I guess with it being summertime people are probably going on vacations or to the beach or doing home improvements and stuff like that. I am sure your friends will come back.

There was once, not too long ago a time when my inbox was flooded with notifications of new discussions from friends, sadly not so now, half a dozen at a time, there have been so many that have just disappeared and I had all my friends on notification and I've got quite a list of them, sad I know, you are one of a kind my friend trouble is we are easily disappointed when it comes to people

Some of us have jumped ship and gone to other shores. Some of us have gone over the wall to the neighbor's yard party. Some are on vacation and away from home. Still other's are outside getting a tan. Where am I?? I think I am all over the map lately. I have been exploring and discovering. I still check in from time to time.

anyway i think your real nice . and the way you post discussions is really kind of down to earth . . although i am not that comfortable replying on your discussions which has many responses already . . coz i want to know what your thoughts about my opinion on any of your discussions.
i hope to see more of you here in mylot . . thanks for being a good person . . old friends and new friends the important thing is "You still have friends and that includes me"

You're right.
At the point of when I wrote this had a few replies from my friends who have left, which made me feel down and what I was doing to actually make friends wasn't enough.
Since then I've noticed more friends like yourself and I am happier.

Hello,joeymatthews,i also notice that mylot has been very slow these days,even for me,i am not that active as before,i think many people from the northern hemisphere especialy from the US have gone out for their summer holiday,that is why not many people are replying and posting here. For me,i have beem less active because i sleep earlier than ususal as the tempeature is getinng lower and lower and i make me want to go to bed more.

I know that I am on less these days due to my job. I am not online during the day and often times too tired to log on in the evening. Also, until recently (tonight to be exact), there was only room for 2 pc's to be set-up in the computer room. Hubby and our friend occupied the space. Now that hubby rearranged the room, my pc is now available even when they are playing their Battlefield. But the noise is bothersome. Grrr. Can't have it all!

OK- I'm not a "friend" of yours yet- But I thought I would answer anyways-
I agree- I wonder where my friends are also- I am chaulking it up to weather change and people spending more time outside- and enjoying the weather- than inside on the net- Make sense-
I know my response level has dwindled in the past few weeks- Life just gets busy-
But I must say that when I don't get thoe wonderful e-mail notifications that my friends started a new discussion- I start to worry-
I've met alot of great people here the last few weeks as well-

well joey, I think many things are affecting the slow down. I know for many it is vacation season and they are out and about on trips. For still others, it is summer and they have their children home from school, which likely means decreased time at the computer! Others come to myLot and are enthralled for a while, then when the 'new' wears off and it seems like 'work' to log in daily, they leave! I know for me, I am really overwhelmed with a lot of paperwork getting ready for August. I have summers off, but this year we are expanding our nursing program at the college...and there will be double the students soon! A lot of things to prepare for! So,unlike previous years when the summer was mine to 'play' I find myself doing a lot of work!

Hi Joey, I'm still here but struggling with time to visit mylot at the moment, now summer is here I don't get home till late anyway as I usually stop on the way home to visit my friends (and to use their spa lol) but being as it's been horrible for the last couple of weeks I've been working aswell! I'm trying to support my friends still though!

I'm a brand new friend, and I'm here! :) But yeah, I've noticed some friends just vanish after a while. I probably do this too. :x I do this even with my "real" friends, so it doesn't take me much to do it here, where I don't really know anyone personally. Cheers, sweetie! I'll try to keep in touch!
