Hi wondericequeen,
good to see you finally managed to join Helium. I would say that it is not too important to worry about rankings to begin with just so long as you continue to write well informed and interesting articles you should do alright.
Articles that you write there continue to be ranked and read long after you have "forgotten" about them and it is great to see the pennies keep rolling in. It has been about a month since I last posted anything there and I have still amde almost $1 this month, so extremely happy with that.
I hope you continue to enjoy Helium and I look forward to reading your articles.
All the best,
J.

*laughs* I am not really sure if you are interested in reading my articles because it's all beauty-related and I wish to build a portfolio of writing beauty stuff there! Yes, I wrote a few articles and I am happy to see the earnings getting up, because that means people read them! *smiles* Wish you good luck around there too!

I have Signed up with Helium, but have not done anything with that site right now. I am not even sure how you earn money there really. But it does look interesting.

You basically just write articles there and whenever people view your articles, then you would earn from it. It won't be much thought, but it definitely gradually builds up when you have more articles there. Wish you good luck!

I've written about 21 artlices for Helium but the pay seems to go slow. I've got a few number 1s but it seems the ones I like best don't rank that well. The one good thing about it is once you get a lot of articles built up the pay keeps on going into infinity. It's a fun place to write. They also have some fun contests and the new debate section is fun too.

Oh cool. You got so many articles there and I only posted 3 *laughs*. Definitely I have to work harder. I have been on their forum for a little bit these days too and I find that their people are quite nice. It's really interesting to meet a bunch of people who love to write! Good place!

Unless you have many articles or paragraphs and they are being chanced in the viewing and voting aspect. You will maybe at most make 25 dollars a month and probably much less than that. It is fun and you can develope your style. However, do not think you will make any real money other than pocket money. Like this site. Good luck to you though and happy writing.

Right and I think it's really cool that they have the rating system so that we know which of our articles are more "liked"! I guess the amount of articles can be built up by time, now writing with a bit of money as a reward is really good enough.

I have been on Heloum for 2 weeks or so. The past few days I have made about 35 cents a day. Most of my articles are highly ranked. I think I have one in the lower half out of 19. I promote mostly by posting the link on forums. I write primarily on fitness and nutrition. I'm a member of a dozen or so fitness and nutrition forums. I just post that my articles are available and give the link. It's working very well so far!
Good luck to you and here I am in case you want to see:

I agree. I think promoting one's articles in various places is a good way to expand the readers and also let them know the great site and articles too! Wow 0.35 a day is really good!

I must say that Helium is wonderful because it gives the occasional writer constant income.
Although one may seem not to earn much, the best thing about Helium is that as long as your articles stay up there, your income keeps coming in.
It's a bit like a rat race of lawyers. You work endlessly for just-OK pay for years, then once you are up there, it's a one-way trip to the top.

Nice thinking! And yes I think about it the same way too! I don't check very often there about my earnings, because I would love to be surprised after awhile! I think the idea of constantly having income is really nice. And it's really like a place of building your own writing portfolio!

I think I've published about 40 or 50 articles, maybe more. A lot of my articles are ranked #1, but those are often ones where there aren't a lot of articles on the topic. I don't really promote my articles on Helium much. I just write occasionally when the mood strikes me, and then go on with my day. :)
